Old Crewel, New Tricks

Decorative Pillows lg Old Crewel, New TricksI have a major soft spot for needlepoint and embroidery, especially the sort that exudes a vaguely 70s vibe—be it through colorful patterns or campy imagery. So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered August Morgan, an Austin-based company that creates one of a kind pillows from vintage crewelwork. Their product line is broad and varied and ranges from grandma-chic to groovy graphics, and includes lots of designs that would be awesome in a kids bedroom or nursery. Click through to see some of my current favorites.

These owls are hilarious. Is it just me or do they look like they might be a rock band?
