How much would you spend to stay in an Eloise themed hotel room? If your answer is $995 dollars, well you’d be in luck. Yes, for almost a grand you and your Eloises in training can sleep in a room designed in tribute to the classic children’s literary figure at the Plaza Hotel in New York. And the legendary hotel didn’t just get Joe Schmo to design the suite, they got the iconic designer Betsey Johnson to do the honors. So what’s the sweet suite like?

The room, which debuted last week, features “hot-pink candy stripes, a chandelier of pink bulbs, and “Betseyville Rose” custom prints.” Betsey added very Betsey like touches like the pink neon sign above the bed and pink, lots and lots of pink. “We’ve been wanting to have an Eloise suite for such a long time,” the Plaza’s general manager said. “Eloise is a big a part of the hotel history and Betsy understands Eloise perfectly. She’s got her in her head.”

The room comes with oodles of references to the illustrated character from an Eloise tissue box to a portrait of her in the bathroom. And Eloise’s pets, Weenie the pug and her turtle Skipperdee, are also present…in plush form that is. There is a tiny kitchenette that just happens to be stocked with pink glasses, treats and candy. There are also petticoats, tiaras and tutus in the room for spontaneous dress up

It is pricey but there are perks like a take home kid sized Eloise bathrobe and a $100 gift card for the Eloise gift shop. And if you really want to splurge, well-heeled parents can stay in the adjoining parents suite for a total of $2045 for both rooms, and the parents get champagne and truffles.

And since Eloise was all about her pets, your little pet owners can bring their own creatures (if they weigh less than 25 pounds) along for the night.

The room won’t officially opened until August 15th but you can make a reservation, if you can afford it, now. For more info go to the Plaza here.
