An Alphabet Poster for the Dual-Language Home
Did you take language classes in high school or college? I remember learning a foreign alphabet and being fascinated with the additional letters and accent marks. If your child is studying a language, or has cultural ties to another country, you might get a kick out of these posters featuring non-English alphabets.
Kireei is a design studio located by the Mediterranean Sea. They offer sweet alphabet posters in Spanish and the lesser known Basque and Catalan alphabets. (Yes, they also offer English alphabet posters.) I think it would be fun to feature alphabets from several different languages in a playroom or nursery. Plus, it might be an easy way to encourage a multi-cultural point of view in your home.
I show the Basque poster after the jump. Can you spot the differences between the Spanish (shown here) and Basque?
