Put Down the Granny Panties: Upgrade to Maternity Lingerie
I know, I know. When you’re hugely pregnant, the last thing you want to do is think about putting on uncomfortable undergarments. But if you haven’t tried on maternity lingerie that is designed especially for pregnancy and nursing, you might be happily surprised. If you’re still trying to squeeze your expanding preggo body into ill-fitting bras and tight undies, shame on you!
During my second pregnancy I feel in love with Belabumbum maternity lingerie. It’s beautiful, comfortable, affordable and leaves you feeling pampered and sexy – baby bump and all!
One of their best-selling items is the Copacabana Lace Boycut. (Yes, this would be an alternative to granny panties.) They scoop down a bit in the front, so they sit below your growing belly. Plus, they come in a variety of wearable blush colors. The fabric is soft and stretchy and you don’t have to worry about tight elastic around your midsection. The nursing bras, like the Lotus Lace Nursing Bra, are very pretty, totally functional and not too over-the-top sexy.
I’m a big fan of the Bamboo Sleep Bra (nursing bra) and the Bamboo loungewear because it’s comfy and it wicks moisture away. This is especially helpful if you have night sweats. Another thing that’s helpful is sleeping on a beach towel. Then when you waked up drenched in your own sweat every night, you can dry off and go back to sleep. No…I’m not speaking from experience or anything…
