Handmade Home
Amanda Blake Soule has written a follow up book to her popular book The Creative Family called Handmade Home. The book focuses in ways you can repurpose items you already have to make new beautiful things. “From picnic blankets made out of re-purposed bed sheets to curtains made out of vintage handkerchiefs, these projects express the sense of making something new out of something old as a way to live a more financially pared-down and simple life.” Especially in the current economic climate we love the focus we are seeing on living more simply and purposefully and reusing things you already have. The best part is many of the projects are things that kids can help participate in, which adds even more meaning to the handmade object.
