Follow the Leader
I have this fantasy of spending the summer riding my bike around a little beach town, wind in my hair, stopping to pick up a newspaper and some sandwiches, and heading to the sand. Only problem is, I am a parent, and I am a nervous nelly, and I really can’t stomach the idea of strapping my kid into a bike seat or trailer behind me while I pedal around. I’m sure she would be fine, but I would most certainly cause some sort of traffic incident by riding a bike while looking backwards ninety percent of the time.
But there is hope yet for my little daydream thanks to the new Zigo Leader, a bike with a “ChildPod” attached to the front. I love this. You can pedal, you can relax, you can watch the road, you can see your kids.
And it gets better still. The Leader is a transformer of sorts, morphing easily into a stroller, a jogger, a regular city bike, and a rear trailer (for the less nervous among us). See it’s various forms below.
Zigo Leader with ChildPod attached
Detach the ChildPod (they say it takes less than 30 seconds) and it can be used as a stroller for up to two children.
Add the optional jogger kit to form a jogging stroller.
Without the ChildPod the Leader is a cute multi-speed bike for cruising around town.
If someone in your family prefers to use the ChildPod as a rear trailer, it works that way too

How amazing is this idea?! And to be able to pull the stroller off to go easily into a store or the library. Wow!!
