A Summer Passage to India
The success of a company can be marked by two milestones. It gains national exposure and everyone (including me) starts begging for offshoots of their collection. Rikshaw design found itself in this enviable position and thankfully answered the call.
After all, moms who were lucky enough to discover their Bohemian-chic collection of bedding, apparel and accessories for their tots, naturally wanted a piece of the cotton voile for themselves (the designer spent time in India which inspired the entire collection)…

Thankfully, Rikshaw’s famous hand block-prints and baby soft Indian cotton have just migrated to adult apparel in the form of women’s kurtas. Since the perfect summer top is harder to find than a baby name that’s not on the top 50 list, it’s only fitting that Rikshaw tried their hand at it. And did they ever succeed! 
Perfect for a day at the beach and making a seamless transition with sparkly flats for any casual beachside dinner, the cotton kurtas will become your go-to top of the summer. With two styles tuxedo and traditional, they also come in a variety of prints and colors.
I can just imagine myself wearing it on all those exotic vacations I vowed to take but probably never will. Fortunately, these will look as good at the local beach as they will in Bali (someday!). And for those moms with girls, you can do the mini-me thing and pick up some styles for your daughters. Believe me, the two of you won’t go unnoticed.

caroline commented on Jun 29 10 at 4:22 amjust beware… do not order directly from rikshaw. after ordering and paying for bedding for my daughter through rikshaw, i never received it. for more than six months they kept promising it was coming, only to cancel the order when the items finally arrived. in short, it seemed they didn’t get enough to fulfill my order and their retail orders. guess who got the short end of the deal? i basically loaned them $ for six months.
