Greetings from Bolivia: These Blankets Are A Rare Find

Being that I also have a small child, however, my passport is not getting much use these days, so I’m thrilled that Jenn at Twine has restocked her selection of absolutely gorgeous Bolivian frasadas.

There is just something about the way the artisans combine colors, mixing brights with neutrals and subtle ombre stripes. These blankets are vintage and in limited supply, so don’t wait! At about five-feet-square, they would be amazing on the foot of a twin bed, or as an area rug, or kept by the door for impromptu picnics. Or what about hanging one on the wall?

And speaking of summer stripes, Jenn also sent along pics of her new Mexican flowers pots (pics after the jump). Beautiful! They are actually made of paper coated in resin (Twine recommends using a liner or nesting another pot inside). Since I have a black thumb myself, I’m trying to dream up other uses for the vessels. Maybe for my desk, to hold binder clips and post-its? Or the large size could hold bottles of sunblock on the deck at the beach house? Any other ideas?
