Snickerdoodles are the first cookie I ever learned to bake. They’re simple and splendid, sugar cookies that crack ever so slightly with a cinnamon exterior. Almost perfect. I say ‘almost’ here because this weekend we make snickerdoodles and hid Rolo candies inside, which baked up soft and gooey. A crazy delicious interior for one of the finest cookies in the world. Perfect.
It’s official, Santa’s on his way. We know because we just talked to Mrs. Claus. She’s up in the North Pole cleaning the kitchen. The kitchen gets quite messy before Christmas because Mrs. Claus has to pack enough snacks to feed all of the reindeer, elves, and even Santa Claus before sending him on his way. So, what did Mrs. Claus make in her kitchen this morning? Oh, lots of delicious delights. There were cookies and cakes, ice cream, a cheeseball, and even a plate of veggies. Can you believe it?! Santa has veggies in his snackbox!
