Super Cute Red & Pink Valentine’s Cake in a Jar
Now that we are firmly on the dessert in jars trend I am making them for most holidays. For Valentine’s Day I, naturally, made them in red and pink with a dollop of frosting and sprinkles. How could we not love them! My daughter certainly couldn’t get enough of it. I could totally see serving these at a cute kids Valentine’s Day party or even for a winter birthday party!
Peppermint Candy Cane Cake in a Jar
You guessed it – it is time for holiday cakes in a jar! To make this fun one I whipped up a white cake and added a drop of peppermint extract. Then I divided the batter in two, dyed one of them red and layered it in a jar. They turned out to be so much to have as a treat after Thanksgiving. They put us right in the mood for the holiday season. I think I might try this in mini-jam jars next and serve them at a party!
7 Freakishly Cute Cakes-In-A-Jar
Now that the holidays are slowly sneaking their way into the grocery aisles and store windows, it’s time we all start putting together our party menus and seasonal gift lists. While it’s always nice to recieve a store-bought treat, a homemade one is ten times better. Even better than that? Something so absurdly delicious, it has you laughing and crying all at once. Which is exactly what these seven cakes-in-a-jar inspire. Whether you’re looking for a clever dessert to tote to your next holiday soiree, or you’re pulling together a package for your military friend or spouse, these cakes deliver in a big way!
Hello Sunshine! Summer Lemon Cake-in-a-Jar
This morning the sun was pounding through the window. Wake up! Wake up! Summer is finally showing it’s pretty little face around these parts and I couldn’t be more ready for cool, crisp flavors and the fresh, citrusy goodness. Which is exactly why this cake-in-a-jar screams of summer. It’s sunny and bright, simple enough to toss together for a picnic, portable enough to join you on your picnics and at neighborhood potlucks. It’s simply screams of summer and tastes like a dream!
Red, White, and Blue Cake– In a Jar
We here at Babble have created all sorts of cake in a jars, but this one is custom-made for the Memorial Day weekend. Cakes in jars are a great way to pull together simple, portable desserts for picnics and parties. No worries about how to transport a big box of cupcakes to a potluck without mussing the icing. Just toss your cakes in jars in a bag, or back of the car, or picnic basket, and you’ll have a treat that arrives at it’s destination just as nicely as it looks sitting on your kitchen countertop.
While many cakes can be baked in jars, this one is baked in a large pan then crumbled into place in mason jars, thus allowing the final product to look as bright, colorful, and perfectly layered as the photo you see above.
Strawberry Cheesecake in a Jar
What happens when the Birthday Girl wakes up as requests a Cheesecake for her big bday treat? You make them for her. Because, after all, she’s the birthday girl. And it doesn’t matter that you’ll be prancing around town and eating picnic lunches because the day is set to be busy and hectic and all out crazy. No way. You don’t panic. You just whip up an easy no-bake cheesecake and stuff it into individual mason jars. Then you screw the lids right onto the mason jars and head out the door, ready to celebrate that little daughter’s birthday whenever you please. Because you are a rock star. A mason jar rock star. And anything that rhymes that well is worth your time to be.
Birthday Cake in a Jar
My daughter turns eleven tomorrow and I was trying to conjure a fun, simple surprise to accompany her school lunch. After rifling through the cupboard, I landed on an idea for a Rainbow Sprinkle cake, packed in a jar with colorful frosting, and toted off to school with my little birthday girl. This recipe is a fun, quick way to serve up birthday cake to those you love. To keep the cake soft and colorful, it’s baked first, then crumbled into four small canning jars. Tint the frosting any color you choose; we went with bright pink and blue because that’s what my girl happens to adore. Bright colors and birthday surprises. Looks like she scored big this year on both counts.
