Dr Slim Down with Diet Dr. Pepper Brownies

Last year I made a vanilla cake with a box of cake mix and a can of diet soda per the classic Weight Watchers combination. I couldn’t believe how well it worked! This week I decided to take a new angle and make brownies with some Diet Dr. Pepper. Again, success! The brownies were definitely moister and a little denser than when they are made with oil and eggs, but the flavor was outstanding. I really liked the caramel undertones. As you can see, mine came out particularly fudgy, but I think that is from the gourmet mix and the thick pan I used. I don’t have an exact calorie count on these lightened-up brownies, but they are indeed a slimmer version than the classic recipe.  What a great way to keep New Year’s Resolutions!

1 can Diet Dr. Pepper

Mix the two ingredients until the batter is smooth. Spread it into a 13″ x 9″ baking pan and bake according to directions!
