Clusters No Bake Crunchy White Chocolate Clusters

A couple of years ago my friend Nicole tipped me off to Alton Brown’s recipe for White Trash. It is essentially white chocolate and salty bits of nuts and cereal melted in to one decadent cluster. It is delicious. Over the years I’ve played with the basic recipe and here is where I stand today: white chocolate, crushed pretzels, rice krispies, salted cashew bits. That is simply my favorite salty-sweet combination for this treat and I am sticking to it. Here is how I make these incredibly easy Christmas treats!

No-Bake Crunchy White Chocolate Clusters

2 packages white chocolate chips

2 cups broken pretzels

2 cups salted cashew bits

6 cups rice cereal

Melt the chocolate chips in a large bowl set over simmering water. Add in the pretzels, cashews and cereal and fold everything into the melted chocolate. Drop the mixture in balls on to cookie sheets lined with parchment paper and slide the cookie sheets into the freezer. Chill for at least 2 hours. Remove and serve!
