Birthday Cake Pancakes
My kids adore pancakes. They ask for them everyday. Typically we make them on the weekends when our mornings are slower. We love to experiment with different flavors. We’ve even stuffed them. Yes we made BACON STUFFED PANCAKES as well as NUTELLA STUFFED PANCAKES. With each new addition to our pancake arsenal they declare it’s their favorite. These birthday cake pancakes were no exception.
The sprinkles add a tie dyed effect to the batter which is beautiful when you’re cutting into it. I’ve seen these made by actually jazzing up a cake mix but we’ve just added a little sweetness to Bisquick baking mix. We’ve topped ours with maple syrup and additional sprinkles but a powdered sugar glaze would be over the top decadent change up.
