Butternut squash was not a common vegetable in my household growing up. It’s actually still pretty new to me in some ways – not new to me virtually…I have been drooling over butternut squash recipes online for the last 4 years of browsing food blogs.  But in real life ,where every time I come home with one of these hard winter squashes, it usually sits on my counter for quite a bit of time before I get brave enough to literally dig into it.

That’s my hang up with butternut squash. It’s shape, it’s shell, what’s inside…it all intimidates me.

I am thinking I might not be alone in this sentiment so I want to share with you another helpful ‘how-to’ video that got me over the intimidation of dealing with the poor, innocent, but oh-so-delicious … butternut squash.
