Celebrate National Coffee Day with Free Seattle’s Best Coffee
Today is National Coffee Day, a day to indulge in your favorite coffee drink. There are even a few places you can get a free cup of joe today. 7-11 was offering them this morning and Krispy Kreme is handing out free cups of its house blend all day. We here at the Family Kitchen wanted you, our readers, to have a chance to get some free coffee today too, without even having to leave your house!
We’ve teamed up with our favorite coffee brand, Seattle’s Best, to offer you a chance to win a free bag of their Level 2 coffee. Their level 2 is my favorite flavor. It’s bright, lively and full of flavor without being too strong. We have 4 bags of Seattle’s Best Level 2 coffee, plus 4 cute tumblers to go along with them, to give away to our readers. This giveaway is just to celebrate National Coffee Day, so it’s quick. Contest will be closed this time tomorrow (September 30, 2011 @5:00pm EST).
Seattle’s Best Level 2 coffee can best be described as bright, lively, spontaneous and a curious optimist. To enter: Tell us which attribute of Level 2 do you most embody in the comment section below for a chance to win!

The Bright and Lively, Fresh and Fruity Smoothie
Inspired by Patricia Bannan, MS, RD

1 cup Level 2* Seattle’s Best
1/2 cup Greek yogurt, non-fat
1 Banana, ripe
1 Tablespoon Honey
1 Tablespoon Peanut butter
3/4 cup Ice
Directions
Combine all ingredients in blender, adding ice until you reach desired consistency. Look for Greek yogurt with 6 grams or less of sugar per serving and avoid nut butter with any hydrogenated ingredients!
Notes
If you don’t have peanut butter, ground nuts work well in this recipe.

Chris commented on Sep 29 11 at 3:10 pmI am certainly the spontaneous type. It adds a spice to life that I think is necessary here in gloomy Ohio; however, when it comes to my morning coffee I remain true to Seattle’s Best!
Kelsey commented on Sep 29 11 at 3:16 pmI would say my liveliness makes me like level two. I love to be on the go from morning to night!

kate commented on Sep 29 11 at 11:13 pmI tend to be one of the spontaneous people in my group of friends. It is not uncommon for me to show up where people don’t expect me, or to convince my friends to go out star-gazing at 2am. Also, I now follow @EclecticRecipes and @Babblefood, and liked them on facebook as well.
Meghan commented on Sep 30 11 at 1:54 amI’ll go with bright since I’m certainly not an optimist lol
