The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, begins at sundown tonight and marks the arrival of the High Holy Days in the Jewish community. This holiday revolves around reflections, penance and forgiveness with hopes of a “sweet new year” ahead. Because of this, the meals shared most popularly include sweet delicacies such as honey, apple and pomegranate in addition to traditional Jewish fare.
