Cooking Shows Master Chef Cooking Shows: Do You Tune In?

I credit cooking shows for a lot of my inspiration when it comes to what I create in my kitchen. My obsession with watching people cook on television started when I was home and pregnant with my first child. I admit I spent a lot of time in front of the TV…mostly watching the Food Network. I learned how to cut an onion from Rachael Ray, how to make lasagna rolls from Giada DeLaurentiis and how to cook whole clams on the grill from Bobby Flay.

My love of cooking shows still exists but it’s the lack of time that gets in the way of watching them. I mostly record them and watch them when I can squeeze them in…lately it’s become a mommy/daughter tradition to watch a few Giada at Home and Aarti Party episodes on Friday nights together. Our whole family really got into watching the Master Chef competition show this summer and Top Chef has become one of my all-time favorites as well. It’s hard not to be inspired by some of the awesome chefs on TV these days.

The Daily Meal recently featured the 10 Most Watched Cooking Shows and I was happy to see a few of my favorites made the list:

You’ll find the complete list over at The Daily Meal, including a few legends like Julia Child and the Galloping Gourmet! Who’s your favorite chef to watch on TV?
