brownie2 The Ultimate Brownie Recipe

Brownies are nice. But there are so many gosh darned many recipes for them online. A hundred thousand options that could bake up dry or delicious at any given moment. Which recipe is most worth your time? Well, this one is, silly. This moist, thick brownie tastes just like the ones from a box, only without preservatives. They are perfect brownies. Just a bit chewy, just a bit cakey. We like to toss walnuts into the batter, but by all means, leave them out!

Ultimate Chocolate-Walnut Brownies
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 whites, beaten to blend
2 teaspoons vanilla
2/3 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Combine first five ingredients in large bowl. Add oil, egg whites, and vanilla. Stir until well-mixed. Fold in the walnuts.

Pour into an 8×8 pan which has been greased with nonstick cooking spray.

Bake until brownies are slightly puffed in center and edges are beginning to brown, about 30 minutes.
