I just “liked” Family Kitchen on Facebook. My favorite go-to simple dinner is throwing some chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker and adding a yummy sauce. When it’s done I serve it over rice. Easy peasy!

Lesa @Edesia's Notebook commented on Jul 22 11 at 1:00 pm

I liked them on FB and this might sounds weird, but I love eggs anytime, so I normally just caramelize some onions and veggies and make scrambled eggs! High in protein, veggies and very quick and easy!

Nelly Rodriguez commented on Jul 22 11 at 2:09 pm

I was already a fan on Facebook. Our simple dinner ideas are usually breakfast – pancakes, waffles, or just eggs, bacon and toast.

Carmen commented on Jul 22 11 at 2:09 pm

I am already a fan on FB. I keep a lot of pesto in my freezer that I make from my summer basil. Then all I have to do is cook some pasta, add the pesto, throw in some diced tomatoes and sprinkle with any good Italian cheese. Quick, easy, and tastes so good.

Rosemeri commented on Jul 22 11 at 2:45 pm

I am already a FB fan. Our simple meal is def some breakfast food….eggs, sausages, hashbrowns.

I am already a fan of the FB page (how I heard about this contest). And my easy go to recipe is Pita Bread Pizza to appease the kids, or Veggie Bow Tie Pasta for the adults. http://cookingforslackers.com/2008/04/10/bow-tie-pasta-with-veggies.aspx

I am a fan on FB. I usually have homemade pizza dough in the freezer, so as long as I think of it at least a couple of hours before dinner, that is my go-to meal when feeling lazy or have some ingredients to use up.

Gina G. commented on Jul 22 11 at 4:41 pm

I like Family Kitchen on Facebook! Also, when I’m in a hurry in the summer to make dinner, I love making a pasta salad with canned artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan and Balsamic vinaigrette!

Sarah @ pão e queijo commented on Jul 22 11 at 5:16 pm

I put porkchops in stuffing and bake….easy fix it and forget it!!!

I liked “Kitchen Simple” by, James Patterson on my face book page for a chance to win your cookbook! It sounds perfect for a cook with many hats such as myself! My summer reach for simple recipe is gemelli w/ tuna, basil, & cherry tomatoes. In the fall & winter it has to be escarole & white bean soup both are hearty & quick enough for my family either after a day at the pool or home from school. I would love to add this cook book to my collection! : )
Thank you

I “liked” Family Kitchen on Facebook!

My favorite “go to” meal in a pinch is stir fry. As long as we have soy sauce and sesame oil in the house I can throw anything in the pan, stir fry it and place it over some brown rice. Easy!

Amanda commented on Jul 23 11 at 9:37 pm

I am a fan of your Facebook page. My go to easy meal is potato soup with garlic cornbread.

I have been a fan of Family Kitchen on Facebook for quite some time – love sharing the recipes from here!

One of my simple dinner recipes is pasta with vegetables. Whatever I have on hand in the pantry and freezer and toss it all together. Sometimes I add sauce; other times add chicken stock and cheese…depends on what is available… Simple, quick, and inexpensive!

Lisa Spivak commented on Jul 24 11 at 2:37 pm

Hi! I am a fan of Simple Kitchen! My quick favorite recipe is “Cajun Chicken Pasta” the Alfredo sauce is so simple and so good I eat it with a spoon! The chicken is so easy to cook in the pan with some Cajun seasoning and it’s done! Would LOVE to win this cookbook!

I am a FB Fan! A quick dinner for us is quesadillas with cheese and pico de gallo, served with fresh guacamole (avocado & lime). If we have leftover chicken I throw in some, or occasionally add black beans.

Jen Rames commented on Jul 26 11 at 12:01 pm

I like Family Kitchen on Facebook. My go-to fast meal is a Tomato Tortellini Soup from a Hunt’s Tomato Cookbook. Its’ made with Balsamic, Garlic, and Basil tomatoes, packaged Tortellini, a bit of red wine, broth, and some Parmesan.

I liked Family Kitchen on FB. My simple meal would be pasta related with things that are in my fridge …..pasta, olive oil, veggies, meat and cheese….a real fridge cleaner! That way I don’t feel bad doing more cooking because we have eaten all the leftovers in a clever pasta dish!

Anne Ardoin commented on Jul 26 11 at 12:23 pm

I just ‘liked’ family kitchen on FB. :) My favorite weeknight dinner is a whole wheat pasta toss. Saute some veggies and toss with whole wheat pasta, olive oil and herbs (fresh if you have them available). Toss in some beans or leftover grilled chicken for a protein boost.

Briana commented on Jul 26 11 at 12:58 pm

I “liked” Family Kitchen on Facebook. Also, my quick go-to meal is either bean burritos or breakfast for dinner. They are both kid-pleasing and so yummy!

Jen Bowman commented on Jul 26 11 at 1:02 pm

Liked the Family Kitchen on Face Fook as well. My easy to do meal is a veggie fritatta. I just look to what veg I have in the fridge (usually spinach and bell peppers), a few whole eggs, a few egg whites and some goat cheese. Yummy. Fast, easy and always delicious.

Making quick and easy sloppy joes and salad for dinner tonight.

Jill commented on Jul 26 11 at 1:26 pm

Soup of any kind is my go to. So easy! This week was Chicken Tortilla. Get a roasted chicken from the grocery store already cooked (or do your own) Pop it in some water (just enough to cover) and boil so it falls off the bones and adds flavor to your water. Debone/skin and toss chicken back into water. Add 1 16oz can large olives including juice, 1 large can (32oz) sliced stewed tomatoes with juices – Must be mexican style (with the added spices)! 1 small can ortega diced green chili’s, chicken stock, 1/2 packet of taco seasoning. Bring to boil and you’re done! Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream and only use Juanita’s Tortilla chips. They hold up the best in this soup!

Nellie commented on Jul 26 11 at 6:25 pm

I just became a fan on facebook, and already loving this page! My quick supper is home made hummus on a tortilla with packaged broccoli slaw, shredded carrots and shredded cheese. Quick, easy and portable too!

Alecia Turner commented on Jul 26 11 at 9:02 pm

Chili – regular, white chicken, any combination that I can throw in the crockpot and have ready when I get home.

Kristina Lewis commented on Jul 27 11 at 10:03 pm

I’m already a fan. My quick, easy dinner always involves pasta. I’ll add some veggies that I have on hand. And throw in some beans for protein.

I liked you on FB. The recipe I reach for is those creamy taquitos recipe that has been floating from blog to blog. I’m a vegetarian so I make mine with a veggies or a combo of veggies and beans. So good, but I could use a healthier go to or at least another option in the rotation.

Allison C commented on Jul 28 11 at 9:01 am

I ‘liked’ you! My easy meal is homemade spaghetti and meatballs from the freezer! I just take them out in the morning and then put them in the pot for dinner!

Elizabeth commented on Jul 28 11 at 10:25 am

I liked you on facebook!! Whenever I need a super quick meal, I always go to the simple tuna casserole from Joy of Cooking. The recipe is one my boyfriend loves that his mother used to make all the time when he was younger. He and his sister tried to recreate it for years until finally we found one of his mom’s old cookbooks and I tried the one in there…it was as close as they had ever come to recreating it, so it was pretty special :)
