A handmade card from my preschoolers and a kiss from my husband are all I ned to turn me into a weepy mess. Flowers for my garden are a nice bonus too!

… and maybe spell check are all I NEED, not ned.

The ideal Mother’s Day gift is time with your family — it’s a gift everyone can share! Good food, good conversation, nothing beats it!

The ideal gift for Mother’s Day is solitude. I want to be by myself, with a mug of coffee and the Sunday paper…and silence. Ahhh…

Staying in bed for five extra minutes…

Flowers. I dont care if they are bought or if they are just a bunch of fresh picked flowers from the yard. It’s just the thought that someone cared!

The ideal Mother’s Day gift…a Baskin Robbins cake? Seriously, I don’t want much, just a day of no driving all over town and some chocolate.

That cake purse is adorable. The perfect Mother’s Day gift is some diamond stud earrings from my husband, and a homemade card from each of my kids.

Thanks for the giveaway.

The best gift is whatever they give you, because a gift is from the heart & something that they thought of!! I love the purse cake!!

A day spent with family is the best gift of all – but a nap for mommy would be icing on the cake!

My ideal Mother’s Day Gift would be a day of peace and quiet – no screaming kids, slamming doors or barking dogs. I think I’ll be waiting a while for that!

I was tinkering with a mother’s day gift today, in fact. An ancient Chinese expression captures the spirit of the gift I want to give my older sister, mother, and best friend: “A swan feather from a thousand li away.” It means a novel something with quite a lot of thoughtful meaning (and effort) behind it. This is my ideal gift to present to these special ladies. (any one of whom would devour this yummy-looking baskin-robbins cake with me :D !!!)

I am a 54yr.old widow. ” Mother of 5 beautiful children ” & 12 Totally Awesome Grandchildren !! I love doing arts & crafts, cooking, etc. with my little ones, yep even the big ones still get in on the fun. Nothing says Lovin, better than something from the kitchen topped with love.
Some of my best discoveries have been from the little ones coming up with ideas as to what & how to make the perfect gift from the kitchen.
Make some peanut butter, celery flower treats for your mom or grandma.
Take some celery clean & cut into flower stalk like pieces/take your peanut butter & roll in rice krispies shaping into flower buds, then let your little ones finish them with some decorative colorful candy pieces, and put them together. You have a lovely healthy flower treat for your special person.
