Holiday Appetizers that Rock: One-Bite Pepperoni Pizza Puffs
Appetizers shouldn’t make your hands dirty. And they should taste totally amazing. And they should create party-wide chaos, with parents tossing their children onto the couch, fighting for the final bite of pepperoni-pizza goodness. Allright, maybe not that last one. But, consider yourself properly warmed beacuse these are The.Perfect.Holiday.Appetizer by a landslide. They are so ridiculously easy to make, totally fullproof, and full of flavors every kid (and kid at heart) will lurve. Light, fluffy puffs of filled with melty italian cheeses and mini pepperoni that you can dip in marinara sauce and pop right into your mouth. Holy hannah. That is straight up the merriest holiday recipe idea ever.
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cup Italian Cheese blend
- 4 ounces Pepperoni Mini’s (or regularly-sized pepperoni, chopped)
- 1 cup your favorite marinara
- 2 Tablespoons fresh basil, thyme, or italian parsely, chopped
Grease a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, milk, egg, cheese, and pepperoni, stirring until completely mixed. Spoon batter into the prepared mini-muffin cups. Bake in an oven preheated to 400 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh chopped herbs, and serve with warm marinara for dipping.

Liz H. commented on Jun 12 11 at 2:33 pmI made these for a party this weekend and they were a complete hit. Using a mini muffin tin, the recipe makes 24 pizzas. Based on how quickly they were snatched up, I will be doubling the recipe next time. Great, incredibly easy, and quick recipe!
