Harry Potter’s Chocolate-Bottom Pumpkin Tart
Obviously, Harry Potter is a big deal in our house. You may have guessed by my trio of Harry Potter Halloween love earlier this month, but it wasn’t always so.
This summer we spent a bit of time in the pediatric ICU and the children’s hospital with my oldest son. While we were there, I had the pleasure of viewing several “books” in the Harry Potter series, forever selling me on the series. I insisted my eldest start reading the books immediately, and the family’s Harry Potter love was cemented. Well, I’m not quite sure my husband has bit yet, but we’ll convert him, sure enough. Just give it time and he’ll be embracing the chocolate-bottom pumpkin tart like a founding member of the Harry Potter fan club.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione can hardly wait for the pumpkin tart to be cleared away so they can rush over to Hagrid and congratulate him on his new position as Care of Magical Creatures teacher. Now that his name has finally been cleared thanks to our dauntless trio, Hagrid is a qualified wizard and can fulfill his lifelong dream to teach (The Prisoner of Azkaban, Chapter 5).
