Nestle Giveaway 208x300 Nestle Toll House Back to School Giveaway!Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chips have been a favorite in households for over 50 years. Chances are, if you open any baking cabinet in America you’ll find a bright yellow bag of chocolate morsels at your fingertips. The thing about Nestle is that the bag does more than just contain chocolate, it represents family memories. Time spent together mixing batter, afternoon snacks of warm cookies from the oven, lunchboxes opening to find fresh treats from Mom. All of these moments lead back to the chocolate chips, tasty vehicles for family fun. This month Nestle is celebrating back-to-school month by giving away family fun baking packs to a few lucky winners. Each pack contains two containers of mini-morsels (one semisweet chocolate, one white chocolate), adult and child-size aprons and coupons for free Nestle Toll House morsels. I am thrilled to be giving away 2 packs today on The Family Kitchen. Click over to Shaina’s post about Nestle for two more chances to win. Here are the entry rules:

I am a Nestle chocolate chip fiend when it come to cooking healthy and adding in a little goodness to my whole grain goodies. I enjoy making pancakes, granola bars and adding them into my oatmeal. YUM!

Cheryl commented on Sep 27 10 at 1:05 pm

My favorite thing to make is The Naptime Chef’s Butterscotch Blondies! Not kissing up here, but this is the truth – everyone goes crazy over them!!

Jenn B. commented on Sep 27 10 at 1:21 pm

This may seem rather unusual in the “use” category, but Nestle’s chocolate chips were the most requested prize for potty training awards in our house!!!

Now for cooking, you can’t beat a good old chocolate chip cookie. But when we want to make a “fancy” cookie we use Nestle’s chocolate chips melted over shortbread toffee cookie bars.

Oatmeal scotchies! Oatmeal cookies with butterscotch chips. I always add a smidge more salt to the recipe for that perfect salty-sweet flavor.

Ellen Russell commented on Sep 27 10 at 5:00 pm

I love making chocolate chip cookies with them, just like my grandma used to make.

Lisa commented on Sep 28 10 at 10:17 am

My favorite thing to make with Nestle Toll House Chips is a result of my favorite Nestle moment! We can all get our youngsters to cook/bake with us, but trying to get a teenager to continue cooking/baking with you can be a task. My daughter (15 years old) had friends over and I prepared oatmeal banana chocolate chip pancakes(my favorite thing to make) for the girls. I was over the moon when I hear one of the girls say “Gianna, your mom is the best” and my daughter replied “You should taste the oatmeal blueberry white chocolate waffles WE make”. Nestles helps to keep my daughter and I in the kitchen TOGETHER!

My favourite thing to make with chocolate chips is throwing some on top of ice cream!

Sandra commented on Sep 28 10 at 8:24 pm

I love to make Oatmeal Scotchies. There is something about the combination of the oatmeal texture and the smooth, sweetness of the butterscotch chip.

Although we love cookies, my Twix Bars are a favorite.

Great giveaway! I love to make just plain chocolate chip cookies and eat them when they’re warm out of the oven with a glass of skim milk! Yum!

I’d love to win this giveaway so we could have friends over for dinner and make a creative dessert recipe with this! We’re on a budget saving for our wedding so winning would be wonderful!

My daughter and Husband are the bakers in the family and they LOVE making your chocolate chip cookies every Friday together. They’ve been doing this since she was 2 1/2 yrs old. She’s 11 now and Daddy says,” He’ll always make cookies with his Monkey till the end of time.”

Karen F. commented on Sep 30 10 at 1:18 pm

I’m partial to the Toll House cookie recipe on the back of the package, but I also enjoy pouring them in my hand and sneaking them when no one is looking (at least that’s my hope).

Tina E commented on Sep 30 10 at 2:01 pm

I love the original Nestle Tollhouse cookies. I make others, but I always come back to this one. Yum!

Bethany commented on Sep 30 10 at 2:18 pm

My favorite thing to make with Nestle semi-sweet morsels is a bar cookie that my maternal grandmother created called Halfway Cookies. It’s a layer of a stiff cookie dough, topped with a layer of chocolate chips and then topped with a layer of brown sugar meringue. Insanely good!

Emily commented on Sep 30 10 at 3:06 pm

i just love to make good old chocolate chip cookies with pecans in there.

We have always loved baking as a family.Having 5 sons it was never easy to get them in the kitchen (with the exception of eating) and so when I wanted some to rein in in some of the chaos, especially on a rainy day..I would break out the Tollhouse chips..We have created cookies, pancakes with faces , and one of our favorites..banan bread..Each of the boys has a mini pan and we stir up a basic recipe and the each add their “extras”..Tollhouse chips is always a first choice..along with citrus zests, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips,nuts..The boys have always taken pride in their “own” creation and enjoyed letting their brothers sample the finished loaves..

Ilove to eating Nestle chocholate chips straight out of the bag for a movie night witht the girls.

Rose Zavala commented on Oct 01 10 at 1:29 pm

I love the basic Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie recipe! As far as I’m concerned, that IS the recipe for chocolate chip cookies. Even if for some reason I’m not using the chips (sometimes I splurge on Guittard), I still use the recipe off an empty yellow bag I’ve kept around for years…it’s more fun to read the recipe off the bag than to copy it in to a cookbook!

Kim commented on Oct 01 10 at 1:54 pm

I enjoy making my great grandmother’s “chocolate chippers” cookies with my children. We talk about my great grandma while we bake and then they share their memories with their grandma’s with me. They get to measure everything out and at ages 3, 6 & 9 we find we always need more Nestle Tollhouse chips because they *magically* disappear from the measuring cups. The smiles, laughs and memories make baking so much fun.

I always have Nestle chocolate chips in the house … preferably the BJs-size bag, so I can be sure I never run out. Lately my favorite recipe has been Dorie Greenspan’s chocolate chip cookies (love to make a batch and divvy them up as little thank-you gifts for people at work who go above and beyond). But since it’s October, I have to say that the cutest way I ever used a chocolate chip was back in the day when I made meringue “ghosts” for my daughter’s kindergarten class. Mini-chocolate chips were the eyes!

Michelle commented on Oct 02 10 at 11:25 am

The kids and hubs eat the TH cookie dough right out of the tub, we never get to bake one half the time!

Jen commented on Oct 03 10 at 5:27 pm

my favorite way to eat choc chips is to put them in the frezzer and eat them out of the bag when the craving hits! Of course my fave thing to bake with chocolate chips is choc chip cookies!

My favorite thing to do with Nestle chips is to eat them right out of the freezer! *wink* My next favorite is to make mini chocolate chip pancake muffins (a la bakerella) with my kids. They love having a taste before I mix them in the batter!

Martha commented on Oct 03 10 at 10:31 pm

We love to use the Nestle Chocolate chips stirred into our oatmeal. It’s a good way to get the kids to eat Oatmeal.

The best is the origanl Nestle recipe on the back..cant go wrong with an original.

gretchen england commented on Oct 04 10 at 10:25 am

Great giveaway! My favorite chip to use is the mini semi sweet ones-I feel like a little of those go a long way to satisfy the sweet tooth! My favorite recipe is an old Canadian one from some classmates of my mom via Action Nanaimo. It’s a banana muffin made with whole wheat flour and peanut butter. Mom and I swap out Nestle mini morsels for the chopped peanuts. Big hit for all who have tried it!

Kirsten commented on Oct 04 10 at 12:44 pm

I guess this isn’t really something to make, per se, but one of my favorite things to do with chocolate chips is hide them from my husband. He swears up and down that he can sniff them out but every now and again I find a good spot to keep them (so that I can eat them straight out of the bag, of course). :)
