Sam the Cooking Guy makes us Laugh
One thing I want my children to learn is that cooking is fun. I want them feel it is something fun to do with your friends, parents and even your their own kids someday.
In fact, sometimes when I turn on the television it is not for them to stare at cartoons, it is for them to watch a cooking show. One of the shows that makes us laugh is …..
Sam the Cooking Guy. Sam believes in cooking being simple and approachable. Even Sam says ‘ I’m not a chef, I’m just a regular guy who cooks like a regular person’ and we love that. I do not want my children to feel intimidated in the kitchen or that cooking for yourself or family is too hard or too time consuming.
Plus, I love when Sam talks about his kids (and sometimes makes snarky remarks about them).
By the way, Babble is giving away a copy of Sam’s latest book ‘Sam the Cooking Guy: Awesome Recipes and Kitchen Shortcuts so head over to find out details.

Charmaine commented on Sep 10 10 at 8:43 amJennifer, nice post. It made me chuckle because the Cooking Channel and Food Network pretty much stay on in our house and my girls 9 and 6 honestly are well on their way to knowing how to make quite a few things and are well versed in all things cooking/food. When you have a minute please check them out in action at http://www.kids-cancook.com and if you are so inclined please feel free to leave them some words of encouragement in our guest book. :-)
