smores a la carte 300x199 Smores à la Carte for National Smores DayIt’s National S’mores Day, and I wanted to celebrate by showing you my favorite way of eating s’mores. The traditional method of graham cracker, toasted marshmallow, chocolate bar is plenty good, but it’s a bit flat, especially when you’ve been eating them for so many years. The obvious answer for me is an à la carte buffet of delicious s’mores toppings.

The concept is simple: Add variety and flare to your traditional s’mores with a few side items. Choose your favorite fruits, nuts, candies and sauces. There’s a s’more for everyone in this dessert!

The possibilities are endless: Banana and coconut with a bit of caramel. Peanut butter and banana. Chocolate-dipped raspberry s’mores. Yum. Let everyone choose their toppings and enjoy.

Not to zap all the fun out of smores, but I think this may be just the recipe I have been looking for for something to bring to a funeral on Sunday. Thanks so much!
