Raisin Bread French Toast

One morning, about a year ago, my daughters had it in their heads that they wanted French toast for breakfast. We didn’t have plain old white bread or challah (which is, of course, the best) but we did have a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread. Turns out, it makes the most delicious French toast — and even though one of my daughters recoils at the sight of a raisin on its own, she miraculously gobbles up slice after slice of this stuff. Try it for yourself — I imagine it might make a nice Mother’s Day Brunch item.
