Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are planning for a baby.
With their upcoming nuptials just days away, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are already setting their sights on the next step – babies!
“We definitely want to do [it] together and do it sooner rather than later,” Nick tells People. “I’ll be 38 this year, so it’s one of those things that I’m certainly behind the eight-ball on.
“Not that getting married was the means to an end to have kids,” the former boy bander continues, “but it certainly was the next step in the process that leads us to ultimately having a great family together.”
The date for their wedding is still unknown, but the soon-to-be betrothed couple are letting TLC camera films their wedding for an upcoming TV special.
“This is very different than doing a reality series,” says Lachey. “It’s a one-off special. This is a different process. There’s a beginning and there’s an end, and it’s over.”

“We’re working on it,” Nick shared while in Vegas hanging with the Sports Illustrated models, “We’re getting there slowly but surely…we’re inching our way along.”
And even though Vanessa was out of sight, she definitely was on his mind, even in the midst of all the hot models surrounding him.
When asked what the best thing about his bride-to-be was, he said: “She looks as good if not better than any of the models you see behind me in a swimsuit.”
