Bad dad, Usher! So says ex Tameka Raymond, who just petitioned a Georgia court for sole custody of their two children.

The stylish celebrity dad turns 33 today and looking at his photos from the past year – this chart topper seems to just get better (and cuter) with age.
And what’s more, he’s also a dotting dad to his two sons – Usher V and Naviyd Ely – taking them almost everywhere he goes, whether it’s a red carpet premiere or on his worldwide tour.

Usher keeps his sons' life as simple as possible.
Usher is an international superstar. But when it comes to raising his kids, Usher Raymond V, 3, and two-year-old Naviyd, he tries to keep things as simple as possible.
“What parent doesn’t have a hard time when their kid doesn’t want to go to bed?,” he says. “But I’ve been practicing. I’ve got a routine down pat with them – we read books, say our prayers and then it’s lights out for bed, after which they might ask for a glass of water or milk. You might think that the standard is a bit different for a rock star dad!”
“My boys have inherited my late-night personality and would love to blast their music and jump on tables if I let them,” Usher laughed.

Usher was out and about with his boys, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely – and an unknown woman, who was helping with one of the kids.
Usher was spotted with the kids earlier this week in New York City, obviously taking advantage of some quality time with his two boys.

When you think of Hollywood, the first location that comes to mind is Los Angeles. Sometime you may consider New York City, but hearing of celebrities who live outside those realms seems implausible. But, in fact, there are quite a few celebrity parents who choose to shack up outside of the Hollywood epicenters.
Take for instance Sandra Bullock who lives in Austin, Texas. Or Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who choose to live in New Orleans. And Usher along with his two boys live in Atlanta, Georgia.

OMG! Usher is in New York City with his eldest son, Usher V, 3.
The father-son duo were spotted leaving a tour bus on Monday (May 2), as Usher IV is busy with his current OMG tour.
Usher also has a 2-year-old son, Naviyd. The boys’ mother is ex-wife Tameka Foster-Raymond. The R&B singer had filed divorce from her in 2009.
The stand up father once said, “My kids see me as a superhero, I’m like superdad to my kids. If I’m not with them every day we still see each other, we pray before dinner and we talk before bedtime.”
I admit that when I heard the Black Eyed Peas were performing the half time show Super Bowl 2011, I wondered, is that the best they can do?
But, the Black Eyed Peas had quite the entrance, seeming to drop on to the stage from the sky. Their performance was full of special effects. I thought the dancers with all the special lights on them out in the field was an especially fun touch. Though it was a little weird to see the dancers with boxes on their heads. Continue reading »
