Perhaps Suri Cruise has more expensive taste than her mother Katie Holmes! It would seem so. While Suri is known for her million dollar wardrobe, her mom is a bit more down-to-Earth as a fan of JCrew. Suri Cruise may be following in her mom’s designing footsteps.
The little fashionista already likes to alter her own clothing, just like her mama.
Katie Holmes was the youngest of five children and would receive hand-me-downs from her older siblings. She would customize them herself.
The 31-year-old actress and wife of Tom Cruise now has her own clothing line, Holmes & Yang. Her 4-year-old daughter seems to be following in her footsteps; she too enjoys altering her own clothing.
“Suri and I do that now with her clothes,” says the former Dawson’s Creek star. “Or rather, she does it. She says, ‘I want this sleeve cut,’ and it’s like, ‘Okay, we’ll cut it.’ She picks out all of her own clothes and has since she was one-and-a-half.”
Katie began designing clothes for her daughter soon after her birth. “I started making clothes for Suri when she was born, designing dresses, and then having seamstresses sew them, because I don’t sew very well.”
Suri Cruise is spoiled. Sorry-but she is. Not to say she’s a brat or not being brought up well, because she may be very sweet and I’m sure Tom and Katie are doing a wonderful job-but what her highness wants her highness gets. Her wardrobe costs more than most mortgages, she eats at the best restaurants, she has her very own iPad and I’m pretty sure if she wanted a gold-plated Barbie all she would have to do is snap her fingers.

Does somebody need to tell Suri Cruise that Easter is over? The tiny fashionista hit the town this weekend in full rabbit-themed gear, donning fuzzy pink bunny ears and adorable matching slippers. I guess like all of us, she has to give her arches a break from those heels!
The pair went for a walk around Union Square which might not seem like the most appropriate place for slippers. But trust me as a New Yorker - I have seen people wearing much crazier things downtown.

Since Suri Cruise has more style in her little high-heeled pinky toe than I have in my whole body, I hesitate to comment on her wardrobe, lest I tarnish her fashion savvy with my dowdiness. But I’m wondering what is up with the dueling hair accessories. I mean, either the yellow headband or the red bow at the back of her head would be fine. But both together? Hmmmm…I guess no one ever told Suri that little gem about looking in the mirror before you leave the house and taking off one accessory.

I know we’ve talked about Suri Cruise’s outrageous wardrobe and the amount of money her parents spend each year. I just read this little blurb and was just astounded.
The rumor is that Katie had a mold made of Suri’s foot when she was 18-months-old. The mold was for a custom-made pair of Christian Louboutin shoes.

Suri Cruise is just 3 years old and already a fashion icon for the under four feet tall set. Tom and Katie are reportedly spending $3 million on her per year, a sum which includes countless clothes and a $30,000 custom-made miniature of an Indianapolis 500 race car.
Now, there is no doubt, absolutely none, that any parent, no matter how wealthy, should spend that much on a child. Being this spoiled can not be good for anyone’s development unless of course, it’s mine and someone with that kind of income would like to adopt me. But as damaging as all this attention and luxury is to her, how damaging is it to Tom’s other children Connor, 15, and Isabella, 17? I know I’m jealous of Suri and I’m not even related!
