Sandra Bullock is taking time off from her career in order to be a stay-at-home mom, as was mentioned yesterday. That fact was buried deep in Bullock’s People magazine cover story, but it hit me hard in the heart. I, too, spend considerable time at home with my son. And many of the activities I’ve devised to help entertain my child might also interest Sandra and her child, Louis. After all, Sandra Bullock may be an Academy Award-winning actress, but I have more experience mothering babies. Sandy, you listening?

Looks like Sarah Plain won’t be the only stay at home parent in the house. ‘First Dude’ Todd Palin has quit his oil field job at BP’s North Slope operation. Todd was a production operator for the plant and “was responsible for management of the oil gathering centers, where oil is gathered from multiple wells.” Not as glamorous as hitting the campaign trail with his wife and being wined and dined here, there and everywhere.
Maggie Gyllenhaal has hopes and dream just like the rest of us. However, since she’s already achieved fame and fortune, her dreams run to the domestic side.
She early just wants to stay home with her darling daughter Ramona. That’s it, that’s her dream.

I absolutely love that Faith Hill doesn’t dress up to walk around Hollywood with her family. She said she was going to spend all her creative energy on her family and it looks like she is doing just that.
