Being a single mom isn’t easy for anyone, celebrities included. Katie Couric recently shared that at times she feels very alone in parenting her two daughters since her husband passed away from colon cancer in 1998. Katie Couric, mother of two teenage daughters, talked to Harper’s Bazaar for its March issue and admits being a single mom is hard, it can be lonely at times and that she misses having a partner in parenting. (Her husband, Jay Monahan, died of colon cancer at age 42.) Also, please don’t call her a “cougar” for dating Brooks Perlin (left), 17 years her junior.
