Jada Pinkett Smith is surely putting an end to her marriage crisis rumors with hubby Will Smith by stating that she’s happy she’s “not a single mom.”
The couple, who have been fighting separation rumors since news broke of an alleged split just last month, have been going to great lengths to prove that all is well on the home front.

“Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher was snapped by the paparazzi after exiting her Pilates class with her daughter Emerson in Studio City, Calif. today.
The former Bond girl (and Superman’s side piece), looked to be in excellent form, despite sporting disheveled hair and work out gear.
The stunning mother-daughter duo almost looked like sisters while they walked out to their car outside their Pilates studio.

Yesterday’s post about only children got me thinking about single moms. It’s tough enough to keep your kid from drinking the toilet water with two parents in the house. With one? It’s heroic. So I salute these women who are holding down the homestead solo. I’m not talking about moms who are unmarried but have a man in the house, or moms who split custody with the dads. These are single mothers, who, for the most part, are doing the lion’s share of the heavy-lifting themselves.
Sure, it’s ideal to have two involved parents, but one truly loving parent is a beautiful thing (and more than many children in this country can claim).
1. Michelle Williams:
This celebrity single mom recently spoke about returning back to work after giving birth in September 2008.
“Henry was four months old when I started filming with Hilary Swank in sub-zero temperatures in Michigan last February. Luckily, he was a good sleeper and was feeding on schedule every three hours by then, but I felt so fat and milky and sleep-deprived. It was hilarious watching these massive Michigan teamsters boom in their deep voices across the set, ‘Everything’s gotta stop! Henry’s gotta eat; it’s breast-feeding time’. The cast and crew doted on him.”
