‘The View’ co-host Sherri Shepherd is engaged!
TV writer Lamar Sally proposed to Shepherd on Dec. 26. Another wedding engagement was made that day too – Vivica Fox and Omar White.
A statement by Shepherd’s rep details the details and moments leading up to the engagement.
“Upon arriving back to Lamar’s home in Los Angeles from a trip to San Diego, Sherri was surprised to find their accommodations had been decorated with lights by one of Sal’s best friends.
Her dog was wearing a Santa beard and hat, and, in the middle of a dish of Sherri’s favorite but forbidden M&M’s (she is diabetic), was a tiny little box.”
The statement continued, “With that, Sal took a knee and popped the question.”
Vivica Fox Engaged to Omar "Slim" White
Vivica A. Fox is engaged to Omar “Slim” White, who is almost 20 years younger!
“We did get engaged on Dec. 26,” Fox told People Magazine. “And we are very happy!”
The actress who is 46 is engaged to the Atlanta club promoter who is 27. That’s almost 20 years age difference. Way to go Vivica!
I guess now it’s safe to say that art imitates life? Vivica is officially a cougar, just like her show – a reality show called The Cougar.
“She is over the moon – so excited, so in love,” a source close to Fox tells PEOPLE. “She got the ring while they were staying at Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, over the holidays.”
An eight-karat diamond ring, to be exact!

What cartoon character should Kelly Ripa use for her facebook pic?
Have you updated your facebook profile pic to a favorite childhood cartoon? Supposedly, you should do so in honor of fighting violence against children.
Whether that is actually true or just another crazy facebook stunt, it could still be fun. Think of all those 80s cartoons and 90s cartoons that we could reminisce about.
And, just for fun, here are my suggestions to a few celeb moms about what cartoon they should use for their profile pics:
Sherri Shepherd’s ex-husband is not a happy camper. Jeff Tarpley has written an open letter asking Sherri to stop talking about their divorce on The View for the sake of their four-year-old son Jeffrey. The couple divorced in 2006 after she found out he was cheating on her.
Sherrie Shepherd has no guilt. No really, she doesn’t. She said she’s over all the mommy guilt.
