Sharon Stone Talks About Miscarriage and Motherhood
Sharon Stone has the wrong name. She’s no mere rock. She’s pure steel: tested and tempered by some of the worst crises a human can face, then coming through strong and gleaming.
In the new AARP magazine – hard to believe, but she is 53 – Sharon talks candidly about the dark times in her life, as well as the bright spot: the two adopted sons she’s raising as a single mom.
Motherhood was a dream of hers when she was still a girl in rural Meadsville, Pennsylvania, and even then she was open to all options. “I always thought I would adopt,” she says. “Even when I was young, I used to look up how to adopt.”
She may have had a (forgive the expression) basic instinct that adoption would be in her future. A lupus-related condition made it difficult for her to carry a baby; Sharon suffered one miscarriage during her first marriage, then two more when she was married to Phil Bronstein. But she and Bronstein had already started to pursue adoption when she became pregnant for the last time.
“The last time I lost the baby, I went into 36 hours of labor,” she says emotionally. “While we were at the hospital, our adoption attorney called.”
Wow! Sharon Stone Looks Amazing. How Old is She?!? (Photos)
All I have to say is “wow.” Actress, icon and mom Sharon Stone was spotted shooting her newest film this week. She is reportedly playing Aphrodite in the film “Gods Behaving Badly” which is shooting in New York City.
The actress certainly was dolled up in glorious goddess style, looking every bit the movie star. But the shocking part? Her age… Continue reading »
Sharon Stone Wore THIS to the Playground?!?
I don’t know about you, but when I have a date to go to the playground with my kid, I wear something comfortable, practical and play worthy. Sharon Stone? Not so much.
The mom of two was spotted at a playground over the weekend wearing something that is more appropriate for a Hollywood power lunch than a sand filled playground. Sharon took sons Laird and Quinn to play donning high-heeled boots, bare legs and a mini-skirt? Really? Let’s hope this wasn’t her “playtime outfit” but rather they made an spontaneous stop and that she really didn’t have time to plan ahead.
Check out more photos of her playground outfit here! Continue reading »
Sharon Stone is One Mismatched Mom
What mom among us hasn’t dashed out the door in an outfit that wasn’t exactly photo-worthy? I know I do it all the time, but since no one follows me around taking my picture, I have nothing to stop me from from knocking around the neighborhood in beat up old sweats and crocs. Other than, you know, my self-respect.
That’s why I have to applaud Sharon Stone for her brazen disregard for all things fashionable. The actress and mother stepped out with son Quinn Kelly for pizza over the weekend, knowing full well that she could be photographed, and yet wearing an outfit that screams ‘I got dressed in the dark’. Leopard print pants, ankle boots, a red T-shirt and a plaid flannel shirt–my son would totally approve. Then, he’s 3. He’d wear his last year’s Halloween costume every day if I let him.
But despite Stone’s mismatched appearance, the best part of this picture by far is Quinn carrying the pizza, which is several sizes bigger than he is. More photos of Sharon Stone and Quinn on the next page. Continue reading »
Get It: How Do Sharon Stone’s Sons Keep Warm?
Sharon Stone was spotted in New York City with her sons. Her kids Quinn and Laird paid their mom a visit while she was working on the set of Law & Order: SVU. And there is still a bit of chill in the air, so the boys both sported their Uggs as well as …both were seen wearing matching North Face jackets.
The boys wore the Denali Jacket in black. This popular and classic fleece jacket is comfortable, well made and durable. This jacket is available directly from Northface right here for $99.
Sharon Stone of Her Fellow Actress Meryl Streep: “She looks like an unmade bed!”
In an interview with Tatler, Sharon Stone said of fellow thespian Meryl Streep, “she looks like an unmade bed” and implied that it’s her “ordinary” (read: shlumpy) quality that people love and relate to. She went on to say that women look at Meryl and think, “she’s a mess, and look at me, I’m a mess too — I love her because she is me!”
An insult or a backhanded compliment? Hopefully the latter because actresses in botox glass houses should not throw stones. I love that Sharon Stone is “proud to share her age” (she’s 51), but can’t stand that she’s jumped on the “I’ve never done ANYTHING to my face EVER” bandwagon and that with her delicate collar bones jutting above her strapless gowns, she claims to “never diet.” Many moons ago I had the opportunity to dine at Sharon’s house (my husband and I were friends of her boyfriend at the time and summoned for dinner and a movie in the screening room!) and she was a beauty close up – even sans glitzy makeup and couture clothes. She’s a beauty today as well, but I find it VERY hard to believe that her ever youthful face (eerily more youthful than it was 12 or so years ago), has remained that way without a little help from an injection (or a peel or something!) here or there.
Forgive the digression…whether Sharon Stone has gone under the knife (or needle) or not isn’t really at issue here. It’s the fact that her comment threatened to take away from this year’s sexy senior sensation Streep, rather than celebrate her. Rather than equate her with rumpled sheets off screen, it would have been more appropriate to note that Streep, on screen at 60, has found herself quite comfortable between them!

Just when you thought the most offensive thing Sharon Stone has ever done was want to Botox her son’s feet… Continue reading »
