Sarah Jessica Parker Advises Parents To Focus On Romance
Sarah Jessica Parker may give a lot of love advice in her hit TV/film series Sex and the City, but it’s not too often that she gives the same in her personal life. But, Parker is opening up about holding on to that romance even when children are in the picture.
“Kids can really distract you from your relationship,” she says. “Maybe in good ways and bad ways. It’s important to have all eyes on all parts of the relationship.”
“It’s something you really have to pay attention to. But you figure it out.”
And in Sarah’s household, no one is taken advatage of. ”He [Matthew Broderick] does lots in the house. He shops for me a lot and he cooks for all of us. There are a lot of things he does better than I do, so it balances itself out. I don’t feel taken advantage of. We take care of each other.”
Sarah Jessica Parker Won’t Go Trick-Or-Treating With Her Kids
Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker may be one doting mom, but this year, she won’t be spending Halloween with her family.
When asked by Hollybaby about trick-or-treating, Parker said, “I won’t be able to this year because I have to work out of the country.”
But don’t fret! Daddy is on duty that night. Matthew Broderick quickly chimed in saying, ““Yes I will [take them].”
So what exactly are the kids dressing up as? “Maybe Mini Mouse, maybe a lamb, maybe a flower — a character named Finn…” Sarah gushed.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Son James Banned The Family From Moving Out Of New York City!
Not that we could pictures Sarah Jessica Parker anywhere other than New York City, but if she and her husband Matthew Broderick were interested in moving their family elsewhere, son James Wilkie has banned the possibility!
Parker and Broderick considered a life in the sticks, but 8-year-old Wilkie put his foot down!
After their twins, Tabitha and Loretta, arrived in 2009, a move was an option in their minds. SJP, 46, tells USA Today, “Having three kids, we thought, ‘Should we?’ We sort of took some hours with some realtors.”
But James ended up being the deciding factor. “James is really attached to the city,” she says. “He loves walking out that door, as do I, and the whole city is laid out in front of him. It’s such a privilege.”
I’d like to thank James for making sure our Carrie Bradshaw stays in the city she owns!
Sarah Jessica Parker Fantasizes About Going on a Family Adventure
Sarah Jessica Parker is a New York City girl without a doubt.
But the actress and Sex and the City star is itching for a move!
Parker says she’s often tempted to pack up her family – husband Matthew Broderick and their son James and twin daughters Loretta and Tabitha – and hit the road!
“I often have a fantasy about packing up the family and travelling,” she tells Stylist magazine.
“If it was an adventure, sure, I’d leave all this behind. But I’d never do it without them.”
Sarah Jessica Parker Opens Up About Raising Kids In the Spotlight
Sarah Jessica Parker, better known as Carrie Bradshaw of the Sex and the City series, is featured in the September issue of Marie Claire magazine where she opens up about being a celebrity and a mom to twins Loretta and Tabitha and James Wilkie.
Living in New York, Parker likes going about her day as normally as possible and not pulling the fame card.
She explains, “I never wanted to be a celebrity; I never wanted to be famous. And in my daily life, I work really hard not to trade on it in any way. I am so desperately worried about anybody saying, ‘She cut in line’, or ‘She took our table’, or ‘She got out of jury duty’, or ‘She doesn’t do her own grocery shopping’. The things that bother me are counter to who I am and the way I live. It’s not like it’s hard to be decent and respectful and well-behaved. I do wait in line, and I do take the subway, and I do do my own grocery shopping, and I do take the kids to school.”
Behind all the fame, Parker still thrives on her acting career. “I love, love, love being an actor. It’s still the hardest and scariest thing I do, outside of parenting. But I’ve always been someone who likes a busy day. I love the opportunities, and if I can manage my time and the children are okay and we’re okay, it’s hard to say no…”
Sarah Jessica Parker: From Carrie Bradshaw to Casual Mom! (Photos)
It must be pretty tough to be Sarah Jessica Parker sometimes, because she created such an iconic character in her role as Carrie Bradshaw, everyone’s favorite writer on Sex and the City. Carrie was envied by women everywhere for her charm, her wit, and of course, her legendary sense of style. She may have been a fictional character, but I think it’s safe to say that Sex and the City fans really felt as if they knew Carrie Bradshaw. Or at least I did!
Sarah Jessica Parker will probably never shake the whole “Carrie Bradshaw” association, but she’s definitely given up Carrie’s signature daring style since the show ended!
SJP’s style has done a complete and total transformation, and she’s gone from style icon to looking like a regular mom! Keeping up with three kids is no easy feat, and Sarah definitely goes for comfort over fashion trends these days. Even when she gets all gussied up for an event, her look is still much older and different than it was during her Carrie Bradshaw days.
