Jessica White was arrested for assault
Model Jessica White, who recently broke up with Sean Penn, was arrested over the weekend for assault. Her attorney Mark Jay Heller says she “was out with friends celebrating her new single status…She just ended her relationship with Sean Penn and was celebrating.” Oh, well that explains it! Dad, Academy Award winner, acclaimed actor, humanitarian and apparently now a goth! Yes, that is Sean Penn. But it’s not really his new look, rather just his styling for his new film “This Must Be The Place.” He was spotted on the set in Central Park where he was in character as Cheyenne, “a bored, retired rock star setting out to find his father’s executioner, an ex-Nazi war criminal who is a refugee in the U.S.”

Remembering director Arthur Penn
One day after his 88th birthday, director Arthur Penn passed away, leaving behind a legacy that will resonate for decades to come in Hollywood. (Note, despite much speculation on the web today, he’s not Sean Penn’s dad. Arthur Penn had a son named Matthew with wife Peggy Maurer; Sean Penn’s dad is Leo.)
As we recently reported, Sean Penn spoke quite candidly of his suspicions surrounding Wyclef Jean’s run for Haitian Presidency stating, “ I have to say I’m very suspicious of it, simply because he, as an ambassador at large, has been virtually silent.” Those sound like fighting words, as my mother would say.
Well the Haitian-born music man was not going to take that lying down! Wyclef responded to Penn’s statements on The Gayle King Show:
“The first thing I’d like to say to Sean Penn is that the area which he operates in Haiti is one area in particular,” he responds to the actor’s claims regarding the presidential candidate’s “non-presence” in Haiti for the past six months.
”He hasn’t seen me for six months—I’ve been going to Haiti for over five years…I am not absent in Haiti, maybe the tent city you’re in, maybe I’m absent in that. My country is not a city of tents, meaning I can’t use the excuse of people living in tents to say that I’m going to make Haiti a better place. I would like to tell Sean Penn I do not react on emotions when it comes to the Haitian people. I do not have to sacrifice my life and live inside of the tents to prove I am for the Haitian people.” Continue reading »
