If one year ago, I asked you to compare the lives of Tiger Woods and David Boreanaz, you’d be stumped. Now of course, we know both men were involved in cheating scandals that involved multiple partners, and that the two men may have had at least one partner—Rachel Uchitel—in common.
But the really interesting comparison between Tiger and Boreanaz isn’t in the sordid little details of their infidelity—its between their wives.
Both women were faced with a cheating husband. Both women had to accept that it wasn’t just one woman, one time, but a pattern of behavior stretching across years and multiple partners. Both had to confront the fact that their husbands were texting their mistresses during special family moments (Tiger at the Thanksgiving table, Boreanaz while Bergman was in labor) Both women had to handle the tabloid fallout that ensued. And both women had children whose needs they had to consider as they figured out how to go forward.

Intimate text messages between married David Boreanaz and professional mistress Rachel Uchitel (Tiger Woods mistress #1) have surfaced, and it paints a pretty desperate picture of Uchitel. Well, she doesn’t like that — and is here to tell us that he pursued her not the other way around thank-you-very-much. And one of the ways she and her pitbull lawyer Gloria Allred are doing that is by proving to the world Boreanaz loved her, such as providing details that Boreanaz put his son, Jaden, now 8, on the phone with Uchitel, a sure sign he planned to leave his wife. Its looking like David Boreanaz may be heading down the path that Tiger Woods and Jesse James traveled before him.
Of course I am speaking of multiple marital infidelities. It’s becoming an all-too familiar tale. Celebrity husband and father admits to extramarital affair, and before you can say “People magazine cover story’, women are pouring out of the woodwork and suddenly, we have a serial cheater situation.
That appears to be the way this may be going. According to Radaronline, a second woman has also hired attorney Gloria Allred and is claiming to have had an affair with Boreanaz. Allred is the attorney who represented Rachel Uchitel, Tiger Woods’ former mistress, and some sources are speculating that she may have been involved with Boreanaz, too.
While it is too soon to tell whether he’s had a gaggle of mistresses, Boreanaz’ own confession underscores the notion that there may have been more than one woman. Note carefully what he told People:
“Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible.” Infidelities, huh? That’s plural, my friends. Continue reading »
I don’t know what is in the water these days in Hollywood, but another week brings another revelation of infidelity. This time, its actor David Boreanaz, who has admitted to cheating on his wife of nearly 9 years, Jaime Bergman. The Bones star and his wife have two kids, son Jaden, 8, and infant daughter Bardot, who is just eight months old.
I feel terrible for anyone who comes to the awful realization that their spouse is cheating on them. But for it to come to light while you are at home with your 8-month old? Wow. That basically means that either while they were trying to get pregnant, during the pregnancy, or after the baby was born–or God forbid, all three–he was seeing another woman.
But while this story is both sad and unfortunate, the crazy part is in who is alleged mistress was–and how the affair came to light. Continue reading »
Since his infamous Thanksgiving day car accident and blowout with wife Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods has been seen as often as Loch Ness or Bigfoot. Scratch that – I think more people have seen Bigfoot. But it seems Woods has finally decided to brave the public eye.
