President Obama gives Facebook a "dislike"
When it comes to Facebook, President Obama gives the social-networking site a big fat dislike… for his daughters, at least.
In an interview with People magazine, the President reveals that he and First Lady Michelle Obama do not allow their two daughters, Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, to have Facebook accounts even though Malia simply because he doesn’t think it’s necessary for people to have an insight to their private lives. The Obamas have decided to not have anymore children.
Ever since President Barack Obama took office in 2008, all eyes have been on First Lady Michelle Obama and whether or not she will have another child. Well, call it a done deal because the Obamas have announced that they are not having anymore children.
On Good Morning America with Robin Roberts, the president opens up about fatherhood, the positiveness of being the leader of the good world during his daughters’ pre-teen years, and why they will never have a son.
“You know, you act as if this is a decision of mine. This really isn’t,” he tells Roberts. “As Michelle points out, I did not carry 10 pounds in my belly.
“I think Michelle’s general view is, we’re done.”
Perhaps if he is elected for another term, they may reconsider? It’s been decades since we’ve had a pregnant First Lady in office.
President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and daughter Sasha visited Florida this past weekend in an effort to show Americans that the Gulf of Mexico is still a place to vacation despite the oil spill. Too bad it’s a little late considering it’s almost back to school time.
When Obama visited Hawaii with the family in 2008, much discussion followed after a shirtless photo of him circulated on the web (photo below).
The White House took steps to prevent a recurrence this time and gave the media a photo taken by a White House photographer (photo left).
Have you ever taken your kids by your old elementary school? For many, doing a drive by of your alma mater would be as easy as just traveling a couple miles from your home or perhaps taking a short plane trip a couple states over.
