Atlas Shrugged is set to debut April 15 and early reviews have been good. Ayn Rand’s fourth novel is one of the most influential books of the century and Rand’s work has seen a surge in popularity due to the economic downturn.

Is Obamacare unconstitutional?
Obamacare sounds good on paper. Health care for all. What parent doesn’t agree that that sounds great, especially when we consider our children?
But, the details of how it works are where it gets a little sticky. Because of one of those details, Obamacare suffered a setback this week.
Today Ted Koppel and Al Gore both proved one tough lesson: fame and money don’t buy happiness. As the rest of us sit here in our paltry little homes, dealing with our everyday drudgery (a toddler who refuses to sleep in his own bed, melon rotting in the fridge, not quite enough cash for this month’s bills), these two much-respected, hugely famous, political superstars have experienced mammoth family eruptions that remind us that their lives aren’t, necessarily, any more desirable than our own.
Andrew Koppel’s death topped the news this morning – Ted Koppel’s son died after a night of heavy drinking. Then the Al Gore divorce news (so far it’s technically a separation, but divorce seems close behind) quickly overtook the Koppel shocker as the fastest spreading story. The juxtaposition seemed especially horrible since Gore, too, knows all about having a son with a tendency to overindulge.
Goldie Hawn may be getting British children to chant “ohm” in the near future. A political party in the UK has asked her to help build schools similar to the ones she runs in the US. Hawn created The Hawn Foundation, which teaches kids Buddhist techniques.

In what might have been one of the worst handlings of a self-made PR crisis in the history of politics, after nearly two years of denial John Edwards has finally admitted he is the father of Rielle Hunter’s daughter Quinn. A campaign aide, Andrew Young, who initially took the rap for Edwards has written a book called “The Politician” set for release in February. Edwards’ full statement after the jump.
