Winning mom: Gwyneth Paltrow
If you are going to learn how to gracefully lose at a game of bowling, you might as well lose with your mother, especially if her name happens to be Gwyneth Paltrow. Apple and Moses Martin once again learned a brutal life lesson last week after they were dominated by their Oscar-winning mother at a game of bowling.

Katie Holmes daughter Suri will be turning 5 on April 18. The little princess will be celebrating her birthday with a tea party. Here in the pic, her mom was holding onto Suri’s blue lollipop as the mother-daughter duo fly out of NYC in a helicopter to an awaiting airplane.
Moses Martin
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s son Moses Martin will be turning 5 on April 8th. I still love how Martin and Paltrow met in 2002 backstage at a Coldplay concert. They married a year later and then had their daughter Apple Blythe Alison Martin on 14 May 2004.
Apparently, Gwyneth Paltrow poured a stiff drink as a kid—for her father, director Bruce Paltrow.
“I love a dirty martini,” she told Showbiz Spy. “I used to make my dad his drinks when I was about six!”
It’s kind of funny to put a little story like this into our current cultural context. When I was younger, I know lots of other kids who fetched their parents drinks, or who had sips of alcohol at the table, or on a special occasion. It may not be unheard of today, but I do think its much less talked about. Probably because all of today’s parents are too busy talking about banning sugar or how they mix up faux meatballs with quinoa, beet juice and raisins—and it tastes delicious!!!
