Michelle Duggar is "resting comfortably"
Say what you will about the Duggars. It’s all been said anyway. Say they have more children than they – or the world – can handle. Or that they’re turning their older kids into babysitters. Or that they’re publicity-hungry. Or devout to a fault. Or too conservative for comfort.
Say that their faith has led them to take too many risks. Despite Michelle‘s age (45), which increases her risk of pregnancy complications, she and husband Jim Bob don’t use birth control. Even the ordeal of having their last child born prematurely and with health problems hasn’t changed their stance.
Yes, say all this and more. But don’t even think of calling them anything less than courageous.
No matter what the circumstances, losing a baby is tragic. Wait, let me rephrase that. Losing a baby is a heartwrenching, life-shattering, black hole of grief that threatens to suck every molecule of happiness from your life. It doesn’t matter how many other children you have – when the doctor gives you that sympathetic-but-stoic look and delivers the unthinkable news, you grieve just as deeply if you’re a mother of none or of 19.
And when something this personal and horrible happens, it’s hard enough to break the news to your family. It might be a few days or weeks before you feel up to telling your friends. Then you keep the rest of the world out of the loop, holding your pain in a special corner of your soul as you try to resume your life.
The Duggars? They had to tell millions of total strangers – mere hours after learning that their baby had miscarried.
Hollywood’s baby fever has hit reality television, and Michelle Duggar is the star. We can’t help but be fascinated by this woman who recently announced she’s pregnant with her 20th child! That’s half her lifetime spent pregnant (and we thought 40 weeks was long)! We have no idea how she keeps track of her litter — we can barely keep up with them as reality TV characters. 20 kids?!?!
While some mothers say no thank you again after giving birth to their first child (because it’s sooo easy, right?), the Duggar family either a) need another paycheck from TLC or b) think it’s still 1870 because they are spawning for the 20th time.

The Duggars are expecting their 20th child!
Good grief! Just when we thought Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar were done having kids, this morning the couple announced that Michelle is pregnant AGAIN!
This will be the 20th child for the couple, who will likely now have to change the title of their reality show from 19 Kids and Counting to 20 Kids and Counting!
Michelle reports that she is about 3 1/2 months into her pregnancy and says, ”I feel good. I am past the sickness stage now.”

TLC’s season premiere of 19 Kids and Counting airs this Monday, and mom-to-19 Michelle Duggar is already talking about pregnancy in the very first episode!
Duggar’s daughter Jessa is turning 18 and for her birthday she wants to go skydiving with Mom. But before they do this, Michelle must confirm that she is not pregnant.
Unfortunately or fortunately, however you may look at the situation, Michelle took a pregnancy test and was not pregnant. She was all set to embark on the skydiving trip!
Michelle Duggar announces on her show that 'someone's expecting'
On last night’s episode of 19 and counting, family matriarch Michelle Duggar gathered the entire family into a room to make a very special announcement. “Someone’s expecting” Michelle announced, and everyone collectively held their breath! “But it’s not us,” she announced, while everyone I’m sure breathed a sigh of relief! Turns out that one of the production assistants on the the show, Jon Boyle, and his wife are expecting their first child.
I’m sure that they’ll get lots of pointers from the Duggar family, who have lots of experience with babies. Michelle has stated more than once that she would love to have another child, but I can’t help but think that once you have as many kids as is normally the maximum capacity for a kindergarten class, it might be time to stop! Michelle Duggar wants another kid. She said it yet again on last night’s episode of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting.” So why don’t I believe her? I respect the Duggars’ right to decide for themselves how many kids is the right number. I especially like Michelle, who clearly keeps the household together, never complains and seems a wonderful role model for her children.
But … and there is a big but here … I sensed a bit of resignation in Michelle’s voice last night when she was asked for probably the 3 millionth time whether she wants any more children, and not just because the family is in danger of running out of J names. (What’s next, Jehovah?) It made me wonder if Jim Bob is the one who wants the baby and not Michelle, the one who’s carrying it.
