Check Out Some Of Madonna’s Backstage Photos From Before Her Super Bowl Halftime Show
It’s been about 24 hours since the Queen of Pop Madonna wowed us with her unbelievable Super Bowl Halftime performance and we still can’t get over how great she was.
For those of you who are criticizing the 53-year-old performer for lip-synching throughout the show or not dancing enough on stage, um, REALLY?
Material Girl has some great behind-the-scenes images of Madonna’s dressing room, sent to the brand by, well, the Material Girl herself.
Check out these pictures of inside Madonna’s dressing room and some of the costumes that were worn by her dancers including Adrien, Brahim, (her boyfriend, duh) Lilou and Maxime.
Madonna Kills It At The Super Bowl Half Time Show (Photos)
Bow down, people. The Queen is BACK.
I admit, I was one of the first people to totally hate on Madonna’s new video for her song, “Gimme All Your Luvin,” by the Queen of Pop (capital Q, mind you), but I take back every single word I said.
Madonna Louise Ciccone KILLED IT during the Super Bowl half time show with her energetic, choir-singing dance routine that gave us a sweet walk back down memory lane with throw back after throw back song.
While M’s hits from the past decade have been so-so, it’s the eighties classics that we appreciate the most. “Open Your Heart,” “Vogue,” and “Like A Prayer” during a half time Super Bowl show? We die. We simply die.
Janet Jackson, this was what you were supposed to do back in 2004. Continue reading »
10 Reasons Why We Think Madonna’s New Video Is “Reductive”
Anyone that knows me knows that I was the biggest Madonna fan south of the Mason-Dixie Line. But that was 10 years ago.
The last good album we’ve heard from the Queen of Pop was unfortunately during her Ray of Light days. While I can get used to listening to Give Me All Your Luvin’ (featuring M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj) on the radio, for someone who has been heavily criticizing her younger counterparts (read: Britney Spears and Lady Gaga) in recently interviews, this is just horribly embarrassing.
I mean, even Britney is shaking her head no at this mess.
I’ll even go as far as saying that I’ll sit through her entire W.E. movie than watch this Super Bowl advert of a mess.
We just wish Madonna would let go of her Demi Moore syndrome and give us something a little more mature, edgy and less… reductive. Take a look at my ten reasons why I think this video might the overall worst video of Madonna’s career yet.
Madonna At The W.E. Premiere: Gorgeous Or Ghastly? (Photos)
By looking at these pictures, you’re first thought is that there’s something missing, right? Well, let me help you out on that. It’s the Dalmatian puppies. All 101 of them.
Our favorite narcissist, Madonna, wore her favorite color to the New York premiere of her latest screen offering, W.E.
To be quite honest, the mother-of-four reminded me of the grandmother I used to fear during my childhood (the one that dressed like she was attending a funeral everyday and never slipped a $5 bill in my birthday card during the sporadic years that she actually did send a card).
We just don’t know what Madonna was trying to accomplish with this look but quite frankly, it’s a bit frightening. Continue reading »
Madonna’s Golden Globes Look Hasn’t Changed In 15 Years (Photos)
This really shouldn’t surprise anyone, but it looks like Madonna hasn’t changed at all in the past fifteen years – not her face, not her style, or even her choice in color!
The Material Mom looked almost identical to her Golden Globes look that she sported way back in 1997 – only a few months after her first daughter Lourdes was born. Madonna wore an all-black number that highlighted her ample cleavage (she was breastfeeding!) when she won an award for her performance in the musical Evita.
Fast forward fifteen years later and Madonna only made a few subtle changes to her look – this year she opted for a black-green and grey sparkly number along with soft curls in her hair (but that peek-a-boo black bra strap is still there!).
Check out our photo gallery of Madonna from 1997 and last night and tell us, which look do you like better? Is she getting better with age or do we need to slow clap this one, congratulating her plastic surgeon?
Madonna Brings Back Her Signature 80′s Style (Photos)
When you think of Madonna, what is the first thing that pops into your head? For the majority of you, I’m assuming it’s bright red lipstick, lace, and fingerless gloves. Am I right?
Madonna is an icon in every sense of the word, and for the “W.E.” premiere in London, she brought back her signature 80′s style to walk the red carpet.
It is so hard to believe that Madonna is 53-years old while looking at these new photos. She looks absolutely amazing! Even though her black dress was somewhat simple, having one lace sleeve and those red gloves really put the finishing “Madonna” touch on her look.
A Super Weekend for Madonna
Bet your weekend wasn’t nearly this exciting: After weeks of rumors, the NFL and NBC confirmed that Madonna will be the headliner halftime act at Super Bowl XLVI on February 5.
Joining the Material Gridironer in Indianapolis for the big event will be Cirque du Soleil and Jamie King. No word yet on the playlist – or whether she’ll be donning that pointy gold cone bra for nostalgia’s sake.
The timing, naturally, coincides with Madonna’s newest project: directing her latest film, W.E. The film explores the relationship between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, the American for whom he abdicated the throne. (Her Madgesty knows a little something about scandalous relationships herself.)
Check out some photos from last night’s New York premiere, held at the Museum of Modern Art: Continue reading »
