Simple Celeb Mom Trick For Slim Looking Post-Baby Body (Photos)
Pretty much every woman feels some sort of pressure to get her pre-baby body back after giving birth, but celebrity moms feel the sting of pregnancy pounds much worse. Since they are constantly in the spotlight and it is their job to look good, losing pregnancy weight and getting back their post-baby body is always on the top of their list.
Losing baby weight can take quite a bit of time. The old saying goes that it takes “nine months to put it on and nine months to take it off.” This rings true for a lot of women, including some celebrities.
Celebrity moms have a simple trick for appearing slimmer post-baby in front of the cameras even when they haven’t lost all of their pregnancy weight. It’s very easy to duplicate, because all they do is avoid pants all together and wear loose-fitting dresses. The dresses instantly make them appear more svelte, even though they are likely hiding a few lumps and bumps under their frocks.
Ali Larter Admits That She Doesn’t Have Her Pre-Baby Body Back Quite Yet
Actress Ali Larter welcomed son Theodore eight months ago, and she’s been enjoying every minute with her new little man. Ali has always been known for her amazing body, but she isn’t afraid to admit that losing the baby weight has been tough, and that she’s not quite back to her pre-baby size yet.
Ali told OK Magazine, “There’s a lot of pressure in our business, but I also believe it’s a universal feeling for any mom, about having to get back in shape. But I also have had this baby, and I keep things in perspective.”
She also added, “Yes, it’s nice to get back to your pre-baby weight, but to have a healthy baby is the most important thing. I’m trying to be kind to myself. I’m not there yet. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I’m trying to eat healthy and have fun.”
10 Celeb Moms Who Looked Like Real Women After Giving Birth (Photos)
Earlier today, I posted a slideshow of 10 celebrity moms who painted a true picture of the experience of pregnancy. I thought it was only fitting to follow up with photos of 10 famous mamas who looked like real women right after giving birth. Often times, women in Hollywood seem perfect, but as you will see in these photos, many of them had to work very hard to get camera ready after delivering their children.
Pregnancy really takes its toll on a woman’s body, and the aftermath is often not what we expected. I actually know quite a few women who packed their regular clothes in their hospital bags thinking that they’d be wearing them home! There are a select few new moms who are lucky enough to drop all of their post-baby pounds right away, but the majority of us still carry extra weight for months after giving birth.
Amy Adams is one celeb mom who was never shy about admitting that she had quite a bit of baby weight to lose. I remember reading an interview with her after she had her daughter, and she said that she really wasn’t concerned with her body at that time. She was more concerned with taking care of her baby, and getting to know her.
10 Best Celeb Mom Post-Baby Slim Downs (Photos)
As if celebrity moms didn’t already make us green with envy with their amazing careers and lifestyles, they have to go and bounce back from pregnancy like complete and total rock stars. How some women in showbiz manage to make shedding pregnancy pounds look like an easy task is beyond me. But something tells me that personal trainers, chefs, and nannies definitely help a bit.
When I was pregnant with my son, I gained a good 50 pounds. And while I did lose every last ounce…it took me about a year. Unlike celebrity moms who are back in their skinny jeans just weeks after giving birth, I was wearing maternity clothes for about four months after my baby boy arrived.
Miranda Kerr has to win the award for the quickest and best post-baby slim down in Hollywood. She credits breast feeding for helping her bounce back so quickly, but I have a good feeling that she’s also just one of those people who has never been, and will never be heavy. Some people cling to weight, and some don’t. And Miranda is one of the lucky ones.
Laila Ali Shares Her Secret To Losing Baby Weight
Laila Ali gave birth to her second child, daughter Sydney, but she’s already working to get her pre-baby body back.
The 33-year-old pro boxer and daughter of boxing legend Muhammad Ali is taking it easy though.
“We all want to (get straight back in shape), but you know, it’s a lot of work. I’m nursing so I have to take it slow. But I gained about 45 pounds. I have 20 more to lose,” Ali told RadarOnline.
“I know how to put in the work and eat right being an athlete but I have to have a certain amount of calories, you know, for the baby. Right now I’m trying to find out like what’s the least amount I can have and still feed the baby and still lose weight. So I’m trying to lose 4 pounds a week.”

Ali Larter’s Advice: “From the morning through night, I just wear my workout clothes so that if I can grab a half an hour here or there then I’m ready to go.”
She also recommends walking with your baby: “If you don’t have someone to watch the baby, just put him in a stroller and walk for a couple of hours. It just really gives you the positive endorphins.” Continue reading »
5 Celeb Moms Whose Post-Pregnancy Weight Loss Makes Us Jealous
We’re not sure how these new moms managed to make the pregnancy pounds disappear mere weeks after giving birth, but we like to comfort ourselves by assuming they’re all genetic freaks. (Or lucky enough to be privy to some sort of post-birth surgery that only Hollywood starlets can afford.)
Regardless, their superhuman weight loss just makes those of us who are still trying to lose the weight two years later, a bit nauseous. Continue reading »
