Walking in a winter not-so-wonderland
What a difference a day makes! This weekend, we lucky folks in NYC rang in the New Year in 50-degree temps. Today, the mercury dropped, the wind picked up, and thousands of miserable kids returned to school in bitterly cold winds.
But no matter what the temperature, errands still have to be run. That’s why Naomi Watts, husband Liev Schreiber and one of their young sons sported heavy coats today on a trip to mail some overdue gifts.
(Really, Liev – you’ve already passed the holiday deadline. Would it be so terrible to let your recipients wait a little longer until the weather warms up a little?)
Hard to tell which of their boys came along for the ride, but it looks like it might be their younger son, Sam. Presumably firstborn Sasha is warm and cozy somewhere indoors, lucky guy.
Hope there’s a cup of hot chocolate in the Watts-Schreibers’ future!

Naomi Watts lives a pretty normal life in New York City with her longtime love Liev Schreiber and their two sons. She is often seen out and about with her family, enjoying the city and blending in with the crowd fairly well.
Naomi is definitely no diva, and she was even spotted hailing her own cab in the Big Apple! Seriously…can you picture Katie Holmes even riding in a cab, let alone actually hailing one?
I don’t think so.
It’s always refreshing to see celebrities doing normal things that regular people do. It really makes them seem so much more human and easy to relate to, doesn’t it?

Naomi Watts is happy that she had children later in life.
“I had a lot I wanted to do when I was younger, and perhaps I wouldn’t have been as focused,” the actress tells More Magazine’s October issue.
“I got a lot out of the way in terms of my own dreams.”
Watts and Liev Schreiber have two sons – Sasha, 4, and Kai, 2 ½. Having children in her late 30s has proven to have been the best decision she could have made.
“You grow up and hopefully become more self-aware. I think I’m a better parent,” she says.
Schreiber is a wonderful father who plays with the children… but like many dads (including my husband), often is having too much fun and forgets certain important things…
“Liev’s moments with the children are amazing. The games just go on and on,” the British-Australian beauty said.

Samuel “Sammy” Kai stayed in his mama’s arms as they went for a walk – and he looks just like her!

Watts and husband Liev Schreiber are proud parents to Kai almost 3, and Alexander “Sasha” Pete, 4.
Watts took a break from acting when she became a mom. But she’s definitely back in the swing of things with a few new projects in the works.

Naomi Watts and Family Beat the Heat!
It’s summertime in the city!
Naomi Watts and her beautiful blonde boys do their very best to beat the heat during an outing in New York City. The entire Schreiber-Watts family went uber-casual for the outing with Naomi sporting for jeans and a loose fitting white top while the boys (including partner Liev Schreiber) went with the standard weekend casual shorts and tee combo.
The family stepped out to pick up some nutritious treats at a local market before heading home to try to beat the weekend heat.

It’s finally starting to warm up in the northeast, and celeb mom Naomi Watts took advantage of the nice weather by enjoying a family ice cream social in New York City. In these new photos, you can see Naomi and Liev Schreiber enjoying a cool treat with their two little tow-headed sons, Sasha and Samuel.
Naomi looked to be enjoying a nice, low-calorie sorbet, in traditional celebrity mom style, while the kids had the real deal. Little Samuel’s face was covered in chocolate after eating his cone!
