An interview with Joe Jackson was filmed by Jacksonsecretvault.com over the summer and will be used in Katherine Jackson’s upcoming movie produced by Howard Mann.
The interviewer asks Joe to elaborate on past comments made by Michael as far as being abused as a child. Joe says, “I had to be like that because when raising him, in those days, so many gangs out there getting into trouble, going to jail. Most of them are dead now. He didn’t have to worry about that.”
It’s been said that losing a child takes the biggest toll on a marriage, and apparently that’s true. Michael Jackson’s parents, Joe and Katherine Jackson, are splitting up after more than 60 years of marriage, which has seen both triumph and tragedy.
Eighty-year-old Katherine has filed for divorce, after her husband recently put some blame on his wife for the death of their son Michael last year.
“I begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy,” Joe Jackson told a reporter. (Uh, Joe? That’s not cool to call our your wife.) Katherine, who has custody of son Michael’s three children, reportedly did not appreciate her husband’s remarks, nor did she appreciate recent rumors that he’d been out at strip clubs.
The Jacksons have not lived together for some time, though Katherine never sought a divorce because of religious reasons (she’s a Jehovah’s Witness). They’ve weathered a lot of ups and downs over their 60 years. Read on for their family’s five biggest scandals in their long time together.
UPDATE: Earlier it was reported that the Jackson kids would be attending the vigil. They will actually be staying in Hawaii .The family wants to provide the kids with a peaceful, quiet time away from the press on the anniversary of their father’s passing.
ORIGINAL: It was one year ago today that Michael Jackson passed away. I remember sitting at my desk, beginning to see news spread on gossip sites and brushing it off because without rock solid confirmation, it was just another Internet death rumor. And then I heard it on MSNBC and my parents called me and my friends called and it didn’t seem real. The only point I knew and could accept it as actual truth was when I was on my way to the deli and a man pulled up at a stop sign and rolled down his window to sadly ask if I’d heard the news.
Every single one of us has a story like this. We can all remember where we were and what we were doing. His death was painful for the nation, but most of all for his children Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12 and Blanket, 8. Living with their grandmother Katherine Jackson, we’ve seen them remain private but in the public glimpses they appear to be well-adjusted, normal, and happy.

The anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death is on the horizon and attention is turning to just how his children are coping. We’ve heard relatively little about them this past year, seeing a few photos of them on there way to or from karate practice and in YouTube videos acting like perfectly normal children.
When Michael was alive the children were almost never seen unless covered in masks or infamously being held over balconies. Michael’s mom Katherine has been functioning as the children’s caretaker and has been upholding the tradition of privacy by staying mostly silent…until now. Katherine has written a book called Never Can Say Good Bye: The Katherine Jackson Story and recently gave an interview to a UK tab.
Katherine tells them that Paris, 12, has turned her bedroom into a shrine to her “Daddy”, where she is surrounded by his photos. “I wanted to hang pictures of flowers or ballerinas in Paris’s room, the sort of things I expected a girl would like, but she went into a closet and she brought out seven or eight pictures of Michael, and she told me, ‘No, I want daddy hanging in my room’. So she goes to bed looking at him and wakes up looking at him. She said, ‘I always want to be able to see him’.”
Yesterday, a few videos hit YouTube of the Jackson kids playing around and behaving like normal, happy children.
Today, we’ve got a few more of Blanket pretending to be a character from Monsters Inc, doing an impersonation of the green lantern, and showing off his dance moves.
Michael Jackson’s kids were heavily guarded from the press when their father was alive, wearing masks and veils and being kept out of the public eye. Michael’s funeral was the first time anyone had ever seen their faces.
Since his passing, Prince, Paris, and Blanket have been staying with grandma Katherine Jackson and have kept a low profile, occasionally being spotted on their way to and from karate practice. They’ve seemed generally happy and like they are growing up in a caring environment just like normal kids.
And now there is proof. Blanket and Paris have taken to the Internet like all kids (and most adults) and have uploaded a few videos of themselves. Take a look.
Oh no! This is sad and kind of silly and avoidable.
Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7, are currently living with their grandmother Katherine Jackson and five other grand kids. Just recently, authorities had ordered her to move out Jermaine’s kids, their mother Alejandra Oaziaza and Randy Jackson’s kids over an incident where one of the children purchased a stun gun and allegedly pointed it at Michael’s children.
Yet so far, no one has actually packed up and gotten on the road, which could cause Child Services to come in and take all of them away.
