Kate Gosselin turns 37-years-old!

You may not believe it, but Kate Gosselin and Lady Gaga are more alike than you may think.
On Wednesday (March 28), the former Kate Plus 8 star celebrated her 37th birthday! And yes, Lady Gaga, now 26, shares the same birthdate.
“My kids often remind me how old I’m getting with comments like, ‘You were born in 1975, Mom?!!’” Gosselin wrote in her latest blog post for CouponCabin.com. “‘Wow, that was a loooong time ago! It was last century!’”
“Mady has repeatedly announced, ‘You’re 37 with no wrinkles,’ as if reminding me of my new age AND that wrinkles are around the corner is a NICE thing to say!” she continued. “I told her to get her eyes checked because I, in fact, have plenty of wrinkles!”
So what do you get this mom of 8 for her birthday? “My kids each hand made me an adorable card and hid them under their beds until they couldn’t stand it anymore. They’ve already presented them to me a bit early and I LOVE each cute little creation!” she exclaimed.
The Gosselin gang learned a lesson in honesty.
Every family with kids has one extra member in the household: the ever-popular Not Me. He doesn’t take up much space, since he only shows up to lose, spill and break stuff while the innocent children stand by.
Honestly, you wonder why the FBI hasn’t put this guy on their Most Wanted list.
Well, the sneaky fellow put in an appearance at Kate Gosselin‘s house the other day, as she explains in her blog. As she was tidying up, she noticed that the family’s globe was missing half of the equator. “Someone had peeled it back and in the process had ‘wiped out’ parts of a few countries!” she says.
She brought up the topic at dinner that night, hoping that one of her eight – Mady, Cara, Hannah, Alexis, Leah, Joel, Collin or Aaden – would confess to doing it or to seeing a sibling in the act. Sure enough, Not Me was fingered as the culprit.
Kate explained that “this was more about honesty and less about damage to the globe!” Still no one spoke up. But the kids thought Joel had a guilty look in his eye, so he got a grilling from Mom. He kept up the denial.
Even a smart strategy that would have let the guilty party identify him/herself without being seen by siblings failed. What was a mom to do? “I was frustrated and disappointed at this point because I felt like I had a lying group of kids on my hands – something I had always harped against!” Kate says.
A bit harsh? Maybe. But when you’re confronted with a “I know I didn’t teach my kid to do that” situation, it’s easy to wonder whether you’ve committed major #momfail.

A few months ago, Gosselin, formerly of Kate Plus 8, agreed to host a Royal Caribbean cruise this summer because she is “strapped for cash.” Thankfully, that explains the horrendous decision on Gosselin’s part. You know you were scratching your head at the thought of such a venture – just as we were.
“The last thing Kate wants to do is hang out with complete strangers,” a source says. “She’s doing it for a free vacation and because she needs money desperately.”
Kate Plus 8 was cancelled by TLC a few months ago and since then Kate has been taking up any job offer that comes her way including a position as a coupon blogger.
Packing is a lot simpler when Kate's traveling alone.
Kate Gosselin may not be the first person you’d turn to for advice on relationships…or dancing the paso doble…or staying out of the tabloids. But if you’re planning a vacation with your children and wondering how to keep things organized when you pack, a mom of eight is a pretty darn good expert on the subject.
In her blog for the Coupon Cabin site, Kate offers some advice on how to prep for a trip when you have little ones in tow. She has plenty of experience with world travel as a family, and this August she’ll do it again when older daughters Cara and Mady accompany her on a special “Cruise With Kate” aboard the Allure of the Seas.
Her first tip is super-sensible: Label everyone’s suitcases with their names to make them easier to identify when baggage-claim time comes around.
“I always pack the boys in one bag, the little girls in another, and Cara and Mady still share a bag as well,” she explains.

2011 proved to be quite a year for Kate Gosselin.
The former Kate Plus 8 star has to endure the cancellation of her hit TLC series, a public spat over a slice of pizza, and a new job as a coupon blogger! But aside from all of those losses and achievements, Kate has learned a great deal through the year as well.
And it’s these lessons that Kate has taken to her blog to share with her fans. Gosselin put together her “11 reflections of 2011″ that put a spotlight on those good times and bad that she experiences over the last 12 months.

Please, Christmas, don't be late!
Santa hasn’t made his official deliveries yet, but Kate Gosselin‘s house is already overflowing with fun and excitement – not to mention a generous dose of sugar!
Kate posted a new blog entry on her website, Kate + My 8, about the “8 Things that Tell Me It’s Christmastime.” First on the list is a true mom holiday classic: “I heard myself saying to my kids, ‘Eat as many cookies and as much candy as you want!’ ”
Sweets were the highlight of this morning’s Christmas Eve breakfast as well; the menu included chocolate-chip pound cake, cinnamon twists and eggnog, all gifts from generous friends.
The noisy household of nine gets even more joyously raucous at this time of year. #7 on Kate’s list is, “The giggles, laughter and excitement in this house is unmistakably palpable and very catchy!”

As we all know by now, kids say the funniest things. Bill Cosby even hosted a show back in the 90s, focused solely on kids saying funny things. So if you’re Kate Gosselin and have eight children, you’re bound to hear the silliest saying come of your children’s mouths.
Kate, who recently ran a marathon, has taken to her blog to share silly quips that comes from the mouths of her children. Let’s not forget that the Gosselin children, Cara, Mady, Aaden, Collin, Leah, Alexis, Hannah, and Joel, are the sole reason their reality show Kate Plus 8 lasted as long as it did.
Unfortunately, with the show off the air, we have little access to the Gosselin family. Thanks to Kate’s blog, she’s sharing a number of silly moments created by her kids.
