Jon And Kate Gosselin Are Co-Parents And Friends Again
It looks like former reality television parents Jon and Kate Gosselin are working out their differences and are finally acting civil to one another for the sake of their kids.
Jon reveals to Us Weekly that while he and ex-wife Kate do argue at times because of their differences, they are working things out and doing the best they can to co-parent. He tells the mag: Continue reading »
Kate Gosselin Turns 37, Channels Lady Gaga!
Put your paws up!
You may not believe it, but Kate Gosselin and Lady Gaga are more alike than you may think.
On Wednesday (March 28), the former Kate Plus 8 star celebrated her 37th birthday! And yes, Lady Gaga, now 26, shares the same birthdate.
“My kids often remind me how old I’m getting with comments like, ‘You were born in 1975, Mom?!!’” Gosselin wrote in her latest blog post for CouponCabin.com. “‘Wow, that was a loooong time ago! It was last century!’”
“Mady has repeatedly announced, ‘You’re 37 with no wrinkles,’ as if reminding me of my new age AND that wrinkles are around the corner is a NICE thing to say!” she continued. “I told her to get her eyes checked because I, in fact, have plenty of wrinkles!”
So what do you get this mom of 8 for her birthday? “My kids each hand made me an adorable card and hid them under their beds until they couldn’t stand it anymore. They’ve already presented them to me a bit early and I LOVE each cute little creation!” she exclaimed.
Kate Gosselin Lobbying to Get Her Kids on Dance Moms?

Gosselin took her own turn in the dancing limelight when she starred on "Dancing with the Stars" although she had a notoriously rocky relationship with partner Tony.
I can tell you with some assurance that if I were coming out of the tail end of raising six babies into toddlers into kids as well as going through an extremely embarrassing public divorce and was now the single mother of eight kids I probably wouldn’t be thinking straight either.
Still, that’s no excuse.
In my humble motherly opinion no mother who cares for her children would put them on the atrocity called Dance Moms currently airing on Lifetime.
And yet… Perez Hilton says he has it on good authority that Kate Gosselin wants her kids on Dance Moms. Perezitos, Hilton’s site all about celebrity kids quotes an “insider” as saying Gosselin is desperate to keep her kids in the limelight: Continue reading »
Kate Gosselin: A Broken Globe, a Family Court, a Mom’s Lesson!
Every family with kids has one extra member in the household: the ever-popular Not Me. He doesn’t take up much space, since he only shows up to lose, spill and break stuff while the innocent children stand by.
Honestly, you wonder why the FBI hasn’t put this guy on their Most Wanted list.
Well, the sneaky fellow put in an appearance at Kate Gosselin‘s house the other day, as she explains in her blog. As she was tidying up, she noticed that the family’s globe was missing half of the equator. “Someone had peeled it back and in the process had ‘wiped out’ parts of a few countries!” she says.
She brought up the topic at dinner that night, hoping that one of her eight – Mady, Cara, Hannah, Alexis, Leah, Joel, Collin or Aaden – would confess to doing it or to seeing a sibling in the act. Sure enough, Not Me was fingered as the culprit.
Kate explained that “this was more about honesty and less about damage to the globe!” Still no one spoke up. But the kids thought Joel had a guilty look in his eye, so he got a grilling from Mom. He kept up the denial.
Even a smart strategy that would have let the guilty party identify him/herself without being seen by siblings failed. What was a mom to do? “I was frustrated and disappointed at this point because I felt like I had a lying group of kids on my hands – something I had always harped against!” Kate says.
A bit harsh? Maybe. But when you’re confronted with a “I know I didn’t teach my kid to do that” situation, it’s easy to wonder whether you’ve committed major #momfail.
Kate Gosselin: How I Save Money on Clothes for 8 Kids!
It’s just about time to take the winter clothes out of my kids’ dressers and start shopping for warm-weather wear. They’re growing so fast that I know last year’s duds won’t even come close to fitting them this year. Even over the course of the last couple of months, many of my son’s pants have reached the high-water mark, and some of the shirts that fit my daughter in September now show her belly button if she raises her arms too high. (Naturally, those are the clothes they insist on wearing every day!)
But at least I only have two children to worry about. Larger families, like Kate Gosselin‘s, have bigger challenges. However, with a little strategizing and a thrifty mindset, keeping a family dressed nicely doesn’t have to be a budget-busting affair.
In her latest blog for Coupon Cabin, Kate shares her secrets for saving on kids’ clothes.
One advantage she has is having two older daughters – Mady and Cara – whose outgrown clothes can be passed down to younger sisters Leah, Alexis and Hannah.
“Each season, I take an entire day (it’s on my to-do list right now!) and spend it in my basement sorting clothing,” Kate writes. She has an assortment of bins labeled by size, all filled with hand-me-downs from both her girls and from friends. She sorts what she needs, takes the clothes up to the kids’ dressers and switches out the previous season’s items.
“I can’t tell you how much money I have saved by “shopping” in my basement!” she exclaims.
Kate Gosselin Wants To Design Running Shoes
We haven’t heard much from Kate Gosselin in recent weeks and well, we apologize in advance for keeping her relevant on this blog. The former reality television mom is still looking to carve a new spot for her in the celebrity world and it looks like she’s trying to do that as a celebrity mom runner.
The mother-of-eight recently posted on her Twitter page that would be an “honor” if she had the opportunity to design her own running shoe. Hint, hint, anyone? Continue reading »
Kate Gosselin’s Kids Spend Spring Break in “School”!
Unless you have a spectacular family vacation planned, it can be challenging to keep the kids entertained during their midwinter school break. My kids were off a couple of weeks ago, but the time off was complicated by the fact that my daughter developed a fever and bronchitis. So the first few days were spent in the pediatrician’s office, drugstore and kitchen fetching juice while my son grumbled that this vacation was the worst ever. (Fortunately, by week’s end we were able to get out for more enjoyable diversions.)
Now imagine what it’s like to try keeping 8 kids occupied for 10 days straight – which was Kate Gosselin‘s task this week. Normally, she plans a family trip, but this year, doctors’ appointments and other obligations kept them home.
So what do you do with a houseful of children with time on their hands?
Send them to school, of course!
