Who Will Be Kate Gosselin’s Valentine’s Day Date?
Kate Gosselin is young, lovely, trim, famous and very single – so you can’t really expect her to spend Valentine’s Day all by herself, can you?
Of course not! And, as it happens, she has a big day all planned, complete with sweet tokens of love and a special dinner.
In her latest blog post for Coupon Cabin, Kate proudly announces how she’ll spend February 14. Will she be snuggling with her bodyguard Steve Nield, with whom rumors have linked her for years? Or did she find love on the set of Dancing With the Stars?
No and no.
“My date is with my 8,” Kate announces, referring of course to Mady, Cara, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. “They own my heart!”
Kate Gosselin: Someone’s Impersonating My Daughter on Twitter!
Like most famous parents, Kate Gosselin works hard to guard her eight children’s privacy (when she’s not letting reality-TV camera crews into her home, that is – but that’s another story). To that end, she doesn’t let any of them go online, and although older twin daughters Cara and Mady have cell phones, they have to follow a strict list of rules. They can’t use their phones to surf the web, and Kate has to approve everyone on their friends list.
But now it seems that either someone’s been impersonating one of her children online…or else there’s a sly young Gosselin who’s been going behind Mom’s back!
On Sunday, one of Kate’s Twitter followers asked, “do either of the twins have twitters? just saw an account of caras but i wasn’t sure if it was a fake.”
Kate quickly fired back, “none have twitters/no way! So it’s a fake!”
But is it?
Good for Her! Kate Gosselin Sets Strict Cell Phone Rules for Her Daughters
When kids enter the tween years, moms have a whole new set of problems to deal with: high school applications, peer pressure, wars over fashion, and especially fears about bullying, sexting, stranger danger and other crises that can occur with technology and social media.
It’s no wonder Kate Gosselin sets strict standards when it comes to cell phone use. Like many tweens, her 11-year-old twin daughters Mady and Cara have them, and Kate says “it’s been a big help communicating with them” when they’re away from home or at dad Jon‘s house.
In a new blog post on her website, Kate answered a question from a fan who wanted to know what phone guidelines she sets for her children.
“Overall, it’s been a very good experience and they have handled having a phone very maturely,” Kate reports. But she still upholds some no-nonsense rules.
What are they? Read on!
Kate Gosselin Is Still Teaching Us How To Use Our Money (Photos)
Kate Gosselin is doing what she bests – well, actually the only thing she’s doing at the moment – blogging her advice on how to save money over at CouponCabin.com.
Love her or hate her, you’d have to admit, there really is nothing wrong with saving money and especially in this economy. In Kate’s new money saving tips, she talks about buying in bulk, cooking from scratch and recycle, recycle, recycle!
The mother-of-eight also givs some great advice on her kids’ school lunches: she packs them! Personally, I’ve been packing my own lunch since I was in the third grade, and I do the same with my husband’s and my kids’ lunches. It’s the easiest way to save a good $50 a week.

5 Reasons Why Kate Gosselin Is A Healthy Role Model (Photos)
Ok, I know what you’re thinking: Kate Gosselin and role model in the same sentence?
I noticed on a lot of other blogs that the former TLC reality television mama has been getting a lot of positive comments about the silver dress she wore at a taping of Extra at The Grove in L.A. this week so I had to take a look myself – and to be honest, I agree. Love her or hate her, she is looking extremely good these days. She’s strong and it shows.
When it comes to taking care of her body, Kate has been running almost non-stop since her divorce from ex-husband Jon Gosselin (she started running to de-stress from the drama) and the results do show. Kate is neither too skinny nor is she too fat – in fact she is perfectly toned.
I know I’m probably going to get some Kate Hate comments for this, but would we rather see the mother-of-eight shrink and shrivel into a size 0 by simply not eating? The woman is still in the spotlight whether we like it or not, and she is a positive role model for the way she keeps in shape and stays healthy.
As far as her plastic surgery and face, let’s save that for another post. In the meantime check out our five reasons why Kate is a healthy role model and tell us what you think. Continue reading »
Kate Gosselin’s Advice to Divorced Moms: “Keep On Going”
When you’re a mother who’s been through a very bitter – and verrry public – divorce, you learn a few valuable life lessons along the way.
Kate Gosselin shared some of her insights today on the Q&A channel of her website.
A fan from Norway asks her, “How to best survive a divorce with children? How to keep up my spirit? What motto to keep me going?” (So her English isn’t perfect – well, how’s your Norwegian?)
Kate admits that it can be hard just to function right after the end of a marriage; there were times, she says, when she wondered why the world was going on while her life was in tatters.
“My best advice to you: keep on going,” she advises. “Literally, get up each day and put one foot in front of the other.”
Kate Gosselin’s New Venture: Cruise Hostess! (But Will the Kids Be There?)
Since the cancellation of both her shows, Kate Gosselin has been pursuing all kinds of projects to help support her large family (and if they happen to garner her a little extra publicity, so much the better). She’s been a Dancer With the Stars, a website owner, a marathon runner and a blogger for a couponing website.
Now she’s adding one more job title to her resume: cruise VIP.
Yes, if you’ve been longing to meet the famous mom-of-many, you can book a cabin on her 7-day Caribbean cruise this summer and enjoy a variety of Gosselicious activities throughout the week.
