Not that we didn’t know it was coming, but Jon and Kate announced their split on tonight’s show, saying, “We have decided to separate.” Kate added, “The show must go on,” and then said, “I’m tired of smiling on the outside while crying on the inside.” She also stressed that the separation wasn’t something she wanted. And while Jon said that he and Kate “don’t hate each other,’ he also said that the situation had gotten unmanageable and was not healthy for their kids.
