Ty Murray and Jewel have a three-month-old boy
Ty Murray would love for his baby boy to grow up to be whatever he wants to be.
Except one thing.
“The last thing in the world you want to think about is him getting on a bull,” says Murray, 42, a nine-time world champion of bull riding, said of his 3-month-old son Kase Townes.
“It’s the most dangerous sport in the world. It would give me and Jewel gray hair instantly.”
Ironic isn’t it?
Murray and wife Jewel, 37, have a long way to go before they have to worry about their son’s career choices!
“My biggest dream for him is that he finds a passion,” Murray told People. “I don’t care what it is.”
Jewel is already directing her 5-week-old son's future.
Five weeks ago, singer/songwriter Jewel and her nine-time world champion pro rodeo cowboy husband Ty Murray welcomed a baby boy, Kase Townes Murray, into the world. And now, Jewel is making it very clear that she does not want Kase to follow in his father’s footsteps.
“We want him to find his passion. Whatever that is, we are fine with it,” Jewel says. “But I hope it isn’t bull-riding.”
And Ty feels the same way as his wife. “I don’t want him to ride,” he agrees. “It is the most dangerous job in the world. But if he’s crazy as I was about it, then what do you do? One of our biggest dreams for Kase is that he finds something he loves.”
Jewel Joins the Nanny Free Club

Earlier today Jewel was answering questions from her Twitter followers when she admitted that they are rolling up their sleeves and going it alone writing, “No nanny-jst me and & Ty- he is such a helpful dad!”

Who is Ty Murray?

Ty Murray and Jewel welcome a son
Jewel gave birth to a baby boy!
The singer and her husband, professional bull rider Ty Murray, welcomed a son on Monday evening, July 11 in Texas, their rep told People.
Kase Townes Murray was born at 7 p.m. CST and weighed in at 7 lbs., 6 oz.
“Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world,” Jewel said.
“We are overcome with happiness — it really is as great as everyone told us it would be — better even!”
Jewel is expecting her first child any day now.
Singer-songwriter Jewel is expecting her baby boy with husband Ty Murray any day now and she couldn’t be any happier.
“I’m feeling really great and enjoying pregnancy much more than I thought I would,” the musician, 37, tells Fit Pregnancy in their latest issue.
“I didn’t know what to expect, every woman is different and you hear such horror stories. But I also heard that you should try to enjoy it, so I took that to heart and tried not to fret about weight gain or anything else.”
And, she adds, despite its drawbacks, “Pregnancy is a privilege, and I feel lucky that I get to do it. It’s kind of sad that men don’t.”
And don’t expect Jewel to worry too much about losing the baby weight quickly.
“As far as losing the weight, I’m hoping that breastfeeding does the job, but I won’t be neurotic about it, about working out right away,” she says. “I am capable of that but I’m going to cut myself lots of slack. I want to give myself time to rest and heal and tend to my new baby for a month or so, and then I will definitely get back into a workout routine.”
